Trolling The Nhl
I think the idea of Klingberg being traded around the deadline should be taken very seriously and is 100% the plan unless somehow the ducks make a magic run and are near a playoff spot.
Now if that will be Columbus, maybe. they do take swings but I also am not sure they will be in a playoff spot come deadline time. I see the penguins as a team to watch there as well.
He even kinda mentioned it in the press the idea is for him to try again for a long-term deal as a free agent next year.

I don't see Holl as any kind of upgrade in a Top 4 roll. Sanderson should be playing with Branstrom, their two styles would match well. Then long-term Sanderson and JDB is a match made in heaven, and already have great chemistry from a full season together in University. I would bet that Sanderson - JDB becomes a long-standing 2nd pairing, and help make up a great top 4.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockey4ever</b></div><div>thx. But, I'm not counting on that really, cuz they said the same last year or the year before and Marchand didnt missed much games. But Maybe Grzelcyk or McAvoy one of them will not come back sooner, but I'm sure Marchand and one of the 2 def. will comme back sooner than december</div></div>
Injuries are legit, McAvoy & Grzelcyk are full shoulder replacements, time table is at least 6 months.
Marchant is Hip surgery that is often a full-year recovery. Notice how bad Seguin was this year, that si because he is still working on getting back to full strength almost 1 1/2 years after similar surgery.
Makes it real tough, but I believe that the Sens and Bruins are going to be battling for the last Wild card spot right down to the last game.

Early Standings Predictions 2223 Season
Ottawa slipping into the last wild card spot on the last night of the reg season. I could see it, but that is a tough division. I still believe that with all the injuries that Boston has, there is a chance the Sens can end above Boston & Detriot in the standings.

I think that is a lot to pay for Chychrun but the fact you taking Zaistev's contract would probably make it worth it for the Sens.

I like the idea of Sens bringing in Pionk as a 2nd pairing guy with Sanderson, however, I think a 1st for that might be a bit of an overpayment there.
Maybe for rights to Branstrom and a 3rd.

No room for him on the Sens top 6 now, and they are not taking him at his current cap hit for a 3rd line player.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>swinny</b></div><div>Not a bad offer!
My initial thoughts are the Yotes may want Batherson over Formenton, but.......</div></div>
Are you nuts, You think the Sens are moving probably the best value contract in the NHL as far as points and performance per $.
This offer as is a HUGE overpayment for Chucyurn. He is good young D and has a good salary for a couple more years, but we is getting hyped a littel too much, only played over 60 games in a season twice, and only broke 20 assists one season. Also Ottawa likely doesn't keep him without moving another larger piece. so the cost is even higher. Not worth it.
Fromenton is a PK asset, with top 5 speed and room to grow offensively so better than Milano already. Also, Formenton is 22 as opposed to Milano who is 26 and reached his poteinal.
JDB is a 2nd pairing D likely the 1st pairing, and with his history and chemistry with Sanderson (played a whole season as a pair in University) it makes sense to keep them together.
Then also a 1 st and 2 nds, that is a lot.

I really don't know why any Oilers fan would want him out with such a low return. I think the Sens would be all over this and then move him deadline of his contract year. Not a bad mentor for potentially 2 years for Sanderson at a reasonable cost.

Kadri on a 1 year show me deal
I would not call it a "So me Deal" Kadri is coming off a career year winning a Stanley cup and was not a penalty liability, he doesn't have thing left to prove. Teams are just cautious of the $$ he is asking for.
Kleinberg is different he didn't have the level of season that Kadri did.

The next few contracts are gonna make a huge difference for the Sens, Cap, and Asset management is really going to become a thing. Especially when in reality the Sens Cap is internal and not even the League number.
Has Greig been included in talks for Chushyrn, I have heard it was mostly a D prospect and a 1st. Agreed with notes above here, and Grieg is way too valuable to be moved for Chuycrun. Wait another year and sign Weegar,

Sens Decline HUGE overpay for Wegar, when he is UFA in one more season.
JDB is a top 4 D whne he matures.
Pinto is a 2nd C on most teams when he matures his NHL game,
and add a 1st to that.

Big trade with the Calgary Flames
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>Sens just have no reason to be moving Pinto and a 1st for Weegar. Weegar is a pending UFA who can probably end up here for free anyway next summer. The Sens don't need to blow the doors out for him right now. That's not to say you don't pursue adding him this year, but it has to be a price that makes sense, and this Really isn't.
Pinto is going to be an important part of Ottawa having competitive forward depth. Especially in the face of the uncertainty around Formenton and Batherson, trading either of Greig or Pinto is extremely unlikely imo.</div></div>
Pinto really could be one of the most important pieces the Sens have in the next few years. losing him for a season and being put in the lineup behind Stuzle and Norris, means he is likely easy to keep a lower profile and get him signed to a steal of an AAV deal.
I am waiting for his faceoff skills and passing to really blossom at the NHL level as it did in University, he could easily be a top 5 play in the NHL for Faceoff PErcentage and a valuable PK player then add great secondary scoring from a 3 C line getting great line match ups.
That being said this deal is WAY overpay for weager as mentioned above it is unneeded. Sens are really starting their playoff winning window next season so no need to throw out the prospect pool for players yet.

I don't put much into they haven't made a statement thing. This franchise is notoriously bad about that, and the fact that there are now two very young owners for this team and still questions on a potential sale of the Franchise, I think the lawyers are keeping everyone hush.

I know, but from what I have seen mentioned Formenton somehow seems more likely to be involved.
However I think the investigation needs to run its course and the truth come out, with that being said every player that was on that roster needs to have a ? next to them right now, which includes some really high-profile players.
Jordan Kyrou, Robert Thomas, Cale Makar, Carter Hart, Cal Foote, Conor Timmins, Sam Steel, Taylor Raddysh among others

More or less the same as I am thinking Unless there are some really promising medical reports and a recovery process in place with a timetable then you don't touch him.
I could see Philly keeping him for the LTIR cap space, especially if they are still in on Kadri. They missed on Johhny G not being able to move contracts already.
