Kane not with Cat? The Cat, Larkin, Raymond line was our best line all season. Kane doesn't need Cat, or did you not watch the games? Notice Cat woke up when they were put back together to end the season?
Veleno at 3C? 3rd and 4th lines are interchangeable.
Perron re-signed? 7th on the team in points and an incredible leader. Mentioned in the description i was hesitant regardless. I wouldn't go higher than $2x1.
Chiarot 1D? Walman 3rd pair? Seider performed better overall this season with Chiarot than he did Walman, or were you not watching? If Walman recovers from his injury and returns to form I agree, he goes back to first pair, but he was a bad defender this season for one reason or another.
Husso starting? Lyon should start, correct.
Berg nowhere to be found? Have you not been paying attention? He doesn't have a future with this team.
And Roy gets atleast $6M. If so target Chatfield or another RHD.</div></div>
Kane doesn't need Cat, but Cat needs Kane.
3rd and 4th lines are not interchangeable, at least not on good teams.
Perron is terrible, and will only be a year older.
What makes you think Berg doesn't have a future with the team? At the very least he will be traded, but not given up on for nothing.

Well that's frightening:
Kasper at LW2? Kane not with Cat? Veleno at 3C? Perron re-signed? Chiarot 1D? Walman 3rd pair? Husso starting? Berg nowhere to be found?
And Roy gets atleast $6M.
Only thing you got potentially correct is the Holl buyout.

Trading for Buch makes a lot of sense, but not at that price for an expiring UFA

Jarry trade is one of the stupidest trades I've seen on here in a long time.
Trade a struggling expiring goalie, a 2nd and a solid prospect for a more expensive mediocre goalie who we'd need to pay for 4 more years... and a NTC.

What would you trade him forvalue
He had a great start to the year and came back down to earth a bit. He is still one of the best skaters on the team. I think with better linemates he is a much better player. Nobody benefits from playing with guys like Ras and Fishcer and Czarnik.
I expect Yzerman to sign and keep Veleno.

If Mo and Ray take bridge deals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JoeROFLCOPTER</b></div><div>I always interpreted bridge deals as a "prove-it" deal or a deal you make out of cap restrictions. Maybe the bridge deal is forced by the agent. More often than not, signing a bridge deal is not out of choice by the team.
The team is bottom 5 in almost every performance metric; they're overachieving significantly due to a high shooting percentage mixed with a lucky bout of goaltending. If Lyon was average during his stretch, this team would have been eliminated a few weeks ago. It is also quite clear this team depends on Larkin for more than just his skill -- he's a leader. When he went down, the team crumbled. Lalonde has no control of the locker room. He is no more than a bridge coach.</div></div>

If Mo and Ray take bridge deals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JoeROFLCOPTER</b></div><div>Because they're more likely to get significantly better than regress once they have a competent coach and apt deployment. Signing long term reduces their cap-hit long term when the cap is *likely* to rise exponentially.
Plus, you don't want paying them and the ELC extensions of our future prospects at the same time.</div></div>
Bridge deals exist for a reason, and it's not always the case that players get massive raises when the bridge is over. Plus a lot of those prospects either won't be NHLers or highly paid NHLers.
Lalonde is plenty competent btw. Team is having a great year.

They're not getting bridge deals, but only 3 guys are coming off their ELCs by that time and a bunch of large expiring contracts, so wouldn't be that serious.

Realistic I think WITH JUSTIFICATIONS I hate being a fan of this team
- Too much for Raymond
- Not enough for Seider
- Too much for Berg
- Where's Veleno? (he's an rfa you don't just let a player like that go)
- Ghost ain't coming back
- Not enough for Stephenson
- Just buy Holl out
- Petry has a NMC
- Ras is not a 3C
- Kane and Cat are not playinh together
Almost nothing about this is realistic.
