Hall
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensonfire</b></div><div>Toronto is probably one of the only teams for which Hall would waive his NMC.
If Hall is not resigning in Buffalo, then he is a rental.
Since your team is suffering immensely, you take what you can get.
And Toronto is offering you a 1st round pick plus a roster player at a reasonable caphit and term.
If Vegas gave Ottawa a 2nd round pick + Brannstrom for Mark Stone, then Buffalo should be pretty grateful about accepting a 1st round pick + Kerfoot for Hall.
Word to the wise.</div></div>
Prospects and draft picks would be better than a below average 3 line center.

Stacked Team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Don't know why you think this helps the Leafs.
You have traded to the Leafs, three left wingers, one who isn't good enough to make the taxi squad.
Foligno is nice but doesn't play centre....Leafs will keep Kerfoot and Engvall.
Hall this year likely can't help any team. Heck Engvall is playing better than him
Savard might be better than Holl, but not that much. Then you have the quarantine waiting for this players to get in NHL and Leaf shape, while three regulars have been traded off the team.
Sorry adding these four NHLers to the Leafs and trading three Leafs don't make the Leafs better this year. And the Leafs give up term and futures? Just don't get this logic of the trades.</div></div>
Hall being better than Engvall?! Analytics doesn’t support it, stats obviously don’t support it either.

Hall
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Saskleaf</b></div><div>Why you sabres fans shot down every trade which includes Kerfoot? He would be a top 6 wing or 3c on the sabres, 2c if they trade Staal. And it's not like his contract makes him have negative value or anything. He's better than Johnsson, and Johnsson got a former 2016 3rd rounder.</div></div>
Cozens will eventually move to center. Lazar has been really good, and they have a Arttu Ruotsalainen who dominate the Liga and is in the AHL for some reason. Eichel won’t be moved either.
I just think they would rather get draft picks and prospects back instead.

Sabres don’t have use for Kerfoot though.

This free agent class is pretty bad. Dougie Hamilton will be the only big contract.

He probably will be better but EK65 will play no matter what. Just like how Doughty and Jones will both make their Olympic teams and most likely play.

Do People Overvalue Eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_K</b></div><div>I agree. If he's being overvalued, it's people calling him a top-10 center when he might be top-15... not really an argument worth having about one of the elite players in the game. His trade value is sky-high (unless/until it gets publicly ugly in Buffalo)</div></div>
He has on a 94 point pace and got hart votes last year. This year he has a extremely low shooting percentage and is on track to win the selkie he’s definitely a top 10 center.

eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joez83</b></div><div>Why wouldn't It happen during the season ? And why wouldn't Zibanejad not be included ?</div></div>
Because it’s all ready been reported by many different insiders, that an Eichel trade is doubtful. Zibanejad wouldn’t be included because he’s not waiving for Buffalo, he hasn’t really been good this year and it wouldn’t make sense they would want a younger player because they would go in rebuild mode.

It’s not happening during the season. Pretty doubtful in the offseason too. If a trade were to happen Zibanejad wouldn’t be involved in it.

Dahlin has regressed significantly under Krueger. But he was great with an actual coach in Housley.

Kakko isn’t anything special Zibanejad has been below average this year. And Georgiev is at best average. Sabres would decline too.

Hughes will probably get a bridge. His defense is horrible and puts up power play points. Vancouver would rather lose Hughes than EP.

Both players aren’t getting traded either way. Jack won’t ask out until he has a NMC. And I’m not sure why everyone thinks he would want to go to another rebuilding team. Pretty similar to the Sabres.
Bad coach
Bad at developing prospects.
Bad drafting. Mittlestadt, Anderson.
Signing bad players Eakin Johnson.

Hes a pro athlete, so what does he want....to win? to be paid what he believes he deserves? A fresh start bc he doesnt like the management group and this is his first chance as a UFA to dictate his career.
Could still be in buffalo but he will do whats best for his career. And from an outsider whatever is going on in buffalo as an org is toxic, probably due to the ownership group bc they are the only thing constant there over all these years. If they rebuild why would the invest heavily into a 27 year old goalie if they are going to be 3-5 years until they are competitive again post Eichel?</div></div>
Either way he’s injured again I’m not sure if he’s going to be healthy again come the TDL.
