If you want that much for Petry you need to talk Suter into waiving and take Suter and Dobby back

PJ Barrie Goalie stopgap
Like the others said. Swapping a RHD for a RHD doesn’t ADD a RHD. Hakanpaa is a good value contract I’d rather keep. Wouldn’t give more than a third for Barrie. I don’t want Barrie at all if it’s gonna keep Harley from getting PP time. Cheers

Maybe
If you want positive value for Varly send him to Edmonton and take a salary back. Like Moot said Wedge had a strong year and we def won’t be adding a second round pick to get a similar player that costs substantially more. Also Nill won’t ever be able to sign free agents again after trading a guy immediately after signing him as a UFA. Bad business

Even if we’re moving Dell I’d hope it would be a swap to NY for Nils or somebody younger than Burns or Petry

Immediate no from Dallas. Not interested in giving up good prospects for Burns

If Tony Walks
Depends on what ADA wants for a contract. And a first is a lot to give up for a guy with red flags. I’m not saying I wouldn’t want him if available

I really don’t know. Honestly now that you’ve mentioned it a two year deal to get him to free agency with a better reputation makes a ton of sense for him. If I’m Carolina I’m wanting more term, but with arb rights ADA is in a good spot here. If he really wants to do right by Carolina he’d go longer term at 5-6 million. If he wants that pay day in a couple years the two year makes sense

Tempting offer for Philly. I don’t think it’s enough for them to take it but I like what it does for them. Take Faksa in the Dallas deal. I think NY and Krav are working on repairing the relationship. I could be wrong but they need cheap young talent as guys start to get paid. Need to delete that Chicago trade lol

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vikhodush</b></div><div>I think he takes a short deal to get him to UFA while continuing to rebuild his image and put up great numbers in a pretty perfect situation. He also talked a lot about loyalty and appreciating the canes taking a shot on him, especially with RBA. I know most times that’s just typical lip service but he seemed to go out of his way throughout the year to talk about that so wouldn’t surprise me if he took a deal that made sense for both sides without going to arb. Especially since there’s not really great comps for him given his off ice baggage.</div></div>
Makes sense. Still strange lol

That’s fair. Just seems strange a 26 year old would take a contract like that after having such a productive season

Klinger and JRob’s deals having the same term isn’t really a cap management thing. JRob needs 8. Klinger needs to seek employment elsewhere if he wants anything above 6/6

I feel like Nill would be looking for a more offensive defenseman to replace Klinger, but that trade would def make Dallas a better team overall and the value isn’t too far off. Change the second to a third and I’d be okay with it

Better d in free agency. Would rather just keep the fourth rounder. Too much for JT. I think Bear is gonna go for a second just because there aren’t many good RHD running around

I feel like there will be enough interest in him that they’ll take the firs team that ups their offer to a second. I wouldn’t be against it. I think Bear would do well in Dallas. Run Harley and Miro, Lindell and Bear, and Suter and Hakanpaa. Then hope Suter asks for a trade lol
I feel like Zona would want a better pick to take that much salary. Coming off an injury doesn’t help
