Agreed, I just not sure on who would take on sheary and at what cost. I’m not too sure on a price for jeannot, so I just gave him an average 3rd line contract. Compared to nick paul, and based on what we traded for him

Yeah, I forgot he’s in 2nd year of NCAA. Is it 3 or 4 years that he’ll be on Michigan? I assume after that he’ll sign a ELC

Yeah I don’t really see perbix next season, I don’t really know all depth and up and coming prospects besides top, on other teams. But I definitely think we should upgrade on defense. Even if it’s putting sergachev on right and getting a top 4 LD

Think of it this way, bruins sign Stamkos at 7.5 mill for 3 years, total at 22.5 million. Tampa offers 5 years at 6.5 million, total 32.5 million. Bruins have him through age 37 season, Tampa has through age 39. The 2 years he would be a free agent if he chose the bruins, he’ll probably only get 1-2 million a year, kinda like when we signed Cory perry

Ok I never saw that article, 7.5 over 3 years is probably what he’s asking but in the bolts favor is to add 1-2 years on and make the AAV a little bit lower, he’ll come out with more guaranteed money

Yes I agree we don’t have many picks, but for a team who is gonna lose him anyways, I could see a top 10 not protected would be a good risk for the flames

Additional cap space can be freed up by moving Sheary to a team not on his M-NTC (makes room for Groshev or Goncalves at the NHL level on whatever deal they have) and ship out Perbix (he's truly a replacement level D, moving him to develop Thompson as a top-4 RD instead at a young age seems like the smarter move)</div></div>
100% agree, thanks for your opinion. I’m hoping we get Stamkos to resign

Hopefully you’re right! I just figured with the salary cap possibly going up 10+ million, 5-8 million would be equivalent to 3-6 million during the cap being at 83.5

Yes, we will need to look for a 3LD. Salary cap is projected to hit 87.5 and 92 million in 25-26. Even if you look under the roster on any team page, it shows 83.5 this upcoming year, 87.5 next and 92 million in 25-26

Hedman new contract
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LordStanlersCup</b></div><div>I like all of the contracts besides hagel, I think I would max out at around 5mil AAV, he seems like a similar player to gourde or coleman and that seems to be the market price. His increased production was due to him moving on the kucherov and point line and while he is very valuable especially on the forecheck Im not sure that 7.5 mil is worth it. We also have a ton of young talent that need ice time and hagel's rights could be a nice trading piece.</div></div>
I definitely agree, I thought Hagel may get that higher AAV due to salary cap going up 10 million since gourde and Colman signed for. I would love to have Hagel for 5 million range for sure
