Miller replaces Malkin
I think it makes sense and Miller fits their contention window well. He is also from the area so I'm sure an extension would be no issue.

That doesn't get you Cooley, no shot. Absolutely nothing there for PIT and Hornqvist isn't a negative asset unless they get desperate.

Your opinion clearly shouldn’t be valued here as much as anyone else if you’re gonna belittle Chychrun’s value that much.

If it’s not cooly, Columbus goes Nemec at 2 because their have a major hole on the right side of the defence. I’d say Columbus probably stays at 6 and 12 and goes for Juricik at 6 and a center at 12.</div></div>
Makes sense. I actually figured they might not go for it because of that RD need.

The difference in value between 2nd and 3rd is practically nothing at all. So in your mind, Chychrun is worth nothing at all?

He is worth the 2nd OVR, Smith and Boqvist are just expendable pieces thrown in to sweeten it. And by that (really stupid) logic, Point was a 3rd round pick, therefore Tampa should trade him for one of this year’s late 1sts.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jacketsman61</b></div><div>I don’t think the trade is bad value wise. I don’t think Jarmo does it because this team still needs multiple impact guys but let’s go with this scenario. You would not be getting Cooley then. The Jackets would absolutely take him at 2. This trade would not be in Arizona’s best interest.</div></div>
Is everyone really so sure Cooley is the guy at #2? I’ve always thought Slafkovsky was the guy at #2. Also, CBJ is set for many years at center, having a bigger body that can play wing seems like the call for them.

The audacity to not even offer FLA's 1st. Even VGK 1st would be a more appropriate offer.

Nemeth and Hajek are both non-NHL caliber players and Georgiev isn't good enough to make up the difference. Would be doing a rival a favor.

I don’t really think Kadri should be much of an option for them. It’s either you get the upgrade in someone like Crosby (involving Newhook) or you give that ice time to Newhook. It’s about time he takes that leap either in COL or somewhere else.

None of these players are even close to the caliber they need to keep contending. If they’re not going to spend big to replace Bergeron, they might as well rebuild.

NJ needs to add something going to WPG, they're already getting too much value in the trade. Crouse for the 14th is not proper value.

Aggressive Wings 22-23
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>North_Kariya</b></div><div>Ignoring the trade, Nichushkin is way overpaid. Zadina is overpaid too. I didn't see anything from Juolevi that warrants a resigning. I'm betting he goes back to Europe or maybe if he gets lucky he might get one more chance somewhere else, but I don't see him back in Detroit. Kadri, I honestly like and think he would be a good fit on detroit. I know a lot of people say he is too old or that his numbers are inflated on the avs, but I still think he is a solid 2C who can put up at least 60 points and adds some grittiness to the team. The money and term are pretty good here but I can see he might try to go for more given his season this year.</div></div>
Nichushkin is not overpaid. It really seems like no one on this board realizes his value.

If Tampa decided to listen to offers, I think it would take 1st+Wallinderas the main base maybe to give Detroit a chance against other teams like L.A. for example, who would definitely be interested. Wallinder would give the team a quality LD prospect that could play soon and probably be of better help down the line as both Hedman and McD get older.</div></div>
I don't even know much about Wallinder. If you want a ready now LD, Johansson might be the guy.
