Toronto Maple Leafs signed William Nylander (8 Years / $11,500,000 AAV)
Fine money for the player since the cap will be rising significantly
Not the right team for it at all, especially if they still refuse to trade Marner when his time is up

Value obviously is better for the Canes but if that blocks them from making a bigger trade for a more impactful forward the only winners are every other playoff team in the east

(COL/BOS) - Bowers for Kinkaid
Kinkaid was never gonna get a legitimate stretch of games so getting a much younger forward whos gonna be in the Bruins system for longer is a nice move
I like it :)

Sell this year Comeback next year
Rangers can't trade either 1st until both teams are out of the playoffs since they're conditional on which one goes to St Louis

Bruins won't do that mid season, all the FO and the reporters have talked about leading up to the deadline last season was how defensive depth was a vital priority since that was a big part of why we lost vs the Islanders 2 playoffs ago when Carlo went down, so they broght in Lindholm and Brown last season, plus Clifton has been suprisingly good for what I expected from him so I'd be shocked if they were open to moving him until after the season
If that was an offseason trade I'd be all over it, I like that for the Bruins a lot, Reilly on your top 4 will not last, despite his usually very good analytics for a few seasons now he just doesn't have it in him long term

Bruins are not giving up their best prospect for a 3rd pairing defenceman and the chance to dump Reilly, those will not cost much

Absolutely not lol, nearly 34 year old Couture isn't moveable for close to those assets, Bruins will need those picks anyway

Vancouver Canucks signed Andrei Kuzmenko (2 Years / $5,500,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Knuckl3s</b></div><div>Why? This team needs to move the players that have been around for some years, not their newly acquired players. Kuzmenko's trade value wasn't even that high</div></div>
Kuzmenko's ELC is probably one of if not the most valuable contract in the league thats moveable
I see it like the Brendan Hagel trade last season, his very good play along with his contract was super valuable to a cap strapped team like Tampa, obviously Kuzmenko was a UFA not an RFA so the return wouldn't be quite the same but I don't see how there isn't a huge push from many teams to get him, he definitley had good value, now he's only locked up by VAN for the years where they will still suck and sell off other pieces around him
Maybe they'll trade him still next season if he really pops off and its totally worth it to have not traded him now but this was a good chance to cash in on something you knew you had instead of gambling

Nice value contract from what he showed so far, just the wrong move for the team
Should 100% have traded him

The bruins want him
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dereliicte_campaign</b></div><div>Is it though?
Isn’t there a possibility that Kreicji is gone and Bergeron takes a haircut?</div></div>
Both of those things can happen and we'd still be screwed in terms of the cap, theres currently projected 21 million in cap space if the cap doesn't go up (sounds like it will though so lets say 22.5 million just as a thought exercise) Pasta is rightfully getting at least roughly 11 million, Horvat would I assume take at least 7.5 absolute minimum (very likely could get more on another team but lets just work with this), Swayman needs a contract, thats likely at least 3 million maybe 4 like Oettenger
Theres currently 6 forwards on the team extended through next year, so you have to replace a lot of the bottom 6
On top of all that the current Bergeron and Krejci contracts will have Overages attached to them for next season, which I think I read counts for 4 million against the cap unless the Bruins are well under the cap by the end of the regular season
In short, nah it aint happening

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HockeyIsMyPassion61</b></div><div>Reilly and Zboril are dumps with little to no value, Lysell while very good and a late 1st won't cut it. Especially if an extension is in place. And knowingSsweeney it would need to be.</div></div>
Bruins can't afford Horvat next season unless Pasta walks so him extending Horvat is essentially a death sentence for the team
