With how the coach has treated him im sure he’d waive anywhere. At this point he’s threatened with being sat

I doubt they’re getting more than that for Buch unretained. Maybe to the right team they can get a good young player and a second with retention

I feel like they’d be interested. Probably can’t attract many FA’s currently and Ceci can plug holes in the roster at the cost of nothing

As an Oilers fan the value is there but you’d need to take back more salary and roster spots. Probably just add Ceci, Ryan, and a couple low picks to the Oilers side and it makes sense

He’s that type of guy that you would want come playoff time. Trading him now would make no sense. Now correct me Blues fans if I am wrong, but I would imagine they would not want Bourgault, instead they would want Broberg. Now, I know they have Lindstein whom they just drafted, but don’t really have any young NHL defenders with possible top 4 potential in the NHL currently. Give Broberg a guy like Parayko for example to play with, and I think he improves significantly!</div></div>

He's been unhappy with playing time for a bit, but that would complicate it. If the blues want to trade him (why????) I doubt they get an offer better than this. Definitely could get a higher pick or prospect, but not both AND a viable top 6 guy

I'm only moving Akey and/or Wanner for a veritable upgrade with term. Someone like Andersson.</div></div>

Bourgault is C/W, so that point is moot. It’s essentially a 2nd and a 3rd here, I’d say that’s worth it for a 3rd liner at 1 mil

The price to upgrade over Pickard isn't worth how little Edmonton actually gets via upgrade (Fleury is a downgrade with too many miles and almost 3x the cap hit). I don't understand what everyone enjoyed about Bjugstad last year as I recall his time in Orange and Blue to be wholly lacklustre (he was actually a boat anchor in the playoffs). I'm not paying assets to bring him back and would rather pay the price on Dowd.</div></div>
Carrier is a massive, massive upgrade over Ceci. I don’t know what you’ve seen from Ceci to suggest otherwise

2 firsts would be a bit much for me for Andersson. He’s good but not a star. The first package does seem fair

WHAT is the best deal for Tanev and Hanifin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Devsfan25</b></div><div>Through 2.5 years in the NHL, Mercer has yet to miss a game. As a rookie, he put up 42 points on a bottom 10 team in the NHL. He followed that up with a 27 goal and 57 point campaign last year. After going pointless in his first 10 games this year, Mercer has 23 points in the last 37 games. He can play center or wing. He plays PP2 and is a staple on the PK. He’s a great skater and has excellent work ethic. Can’t find me many guys with all those attributes at 22 years old</div></div>
you overrate him purely due to his age, would be very surprised if he ever tops that 57 pt season

The only guy Mercer might get moved for is Saros and that’s still unlikely. And you’ve added a 1st on top of this. You’re WAY OFF. Devils offer for Hanifin would likely be
Kevin Bahl, Graeme Clarke, 2024 1st for Hanifin</div></div>

It's fairly comparable to Lindholm trade (especially if the 2nd is only for retention since Lindholm's trade didn't have any), and Konecny is at the moment the superior player of the two, and he has another year left on his contract to boot.
If you want that sort of player with hefty retention to boot, you're gotta give something bit more substantial than this imo.</div></div>
I just feel like Torts not loving him will effect is value. They'd probably have an offer like this lined up from a couple contenders, or a middle of the pack team could offer a much better prospect but not much else

TK isn't having a career year, and it's well known Torts would like to move on from him. That will affect his value.
That being said, those are not whatever prospects and cap dumps. Kulak and Janmark are worth their cap hits. Bourgault and Petrov have had a disappointing year in bako but they were highly rated prospects before that
