Man i am sorry but this is not NHL23, if Yzerman made that move for frederic he would be laughed out of the league. Boston wouldn't even be mad.

That is a lot of money for someone who hasn't scored 30 goals yet in his career (198 games). I like the kid but he is a 3rd or 4th liner.

Dorian keeps him for that. With new owners he can't get robbed like that, he is fighting for his job. This is a wings fan. Contract will be between 8 and 8.9 based on what the rumblings around the trade.

Ras is a winger. He struggled at center and really flourished on the wing, so he will play on the wing.

Honestly most of the hate is an overreaction. I was a bit disappointed at first as well. But it also set the wings up for a trade for a stud winger or two. Allows them to trade away some players at the deadline as well.

Killorn will be 34 when the season stars and O'reilly like bert has had a lot of hard miles. 2 is more comfortable, but you never know what guys will get. ROR would be a great guy to add to the locker room and mentor Kasper and Danielson.

Whats NExt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lancebmx</b></div><div>You have Rasmussen and Perron on the fourth line. Perron had 7 fewer goals than Konecny. Konecny was hurt a bit but still, being healthy is part of it. Rasmussen should be in the top 6, he deserves those minutes. Fabbri and Murray will be healthy. Rangers match that offer sheet, which are a great way to ruin relationships. But why even bother if you aren't playing Laf in the top 6?</div></div>
I love Ras but if the team is gonna be good he is a 3rd liner. or he takes another step forward. Konecny was on a worse team and Perron is gonna be another year older, I love the guy but there is no denying he is a step behind the game at 5 on 5. Great on the powerplay though. Perron would move up to the 3rd when Kailer gets hurt. There is alos a chance johny burgers doesn't stick on the second so the lines could be juggled. Yes murray and fabbri start the season healthy but no way they don't end up on the IR.
Bottom line is if the wings are going to make the a run without that top superstar they need to be a deep team, 3 strong lines and a reliable 4th.

Yea clearly the wings have Cap Space to go up to 2 mil. I wasn't sure what he would get. With all the cap space the wings have I wasn't to worried about that just wanted to see how these two fit.

Keller has 7 more points and 5 more goals than Larkin, is 2 years younger, and makes 1.6mil less. If he gets shopped the wings had better be looking at him. A 10th overall pick is not guaranteed to be a 40 goal scorer. and schmaltz is almost a point per game player over the last 2 years. Keep in mind both those players did that on the worst team in league.

Just a fun challenge to see how far a team is from the playoffs/cup. After doing it I would say the wings probably need more than that to win a cup.

It is crowded but he would be a good bottom 6 for a time with no grit. Good enough defensively so you get grit with out having a 4th line plug. if the deal was right I would take him... that deal however is not it. Yzerman can always move a winger for more draft stock and I am just sick of seeing the wings bullied.

I have thought Clifton as well. But I don't really hear his name get brought up often.

Who might be available due to cap reasons
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aedoran</b></div><div>I wouldn't say Yzerman ****ed up it's more like bad luck. Bertuzzi had only missed signifiant time when he had back surgery and Vrana entering the Players Assistance Program are things you don't expect to happen. You definitely don't expect it to happen to two players in the same season and it's further magnified when both of those players are in your top 6. Yzerman has drafted well and most of his UFA signings have worked out very well for Detroit. I don't think signing Klingberg would be a mistake but it depends on what he will sign for. But bring him in and pairing him with Edvinsson Could end up being a very good move.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>Well whoever they sign at Rd should be someone tailored for Edvinsson. My immediate thought is a defensive guy but Edvinsson seems to be playing better next to Johansson lately who's more skilled so maybe klingberg is the answer. Either way it can't be Chairot.</div></div>
You really want a stable/ reliable partner for a young d, especially one that is going to be more offensive. Klinger has not been good this year and last wasn't great either all signs point to a major fall off. A maata esc defender would be great, just a righty version of him.

Could Yzerman Make Larkin and Bo without Sacraficing MO and Raymond 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Datsyukian13</b></div><div>Why would Yzerman trade for Horvat when he can sign him for free in the Summer?
Why is Maatta signed for so long ?
Where is the return for Bert?
This is really bad</div></div>
This is not a complete work up, its more of a generalization to see what the money would look like in two years when we need to sign raymond and mo. If the wings want horvat they will most likely need to trade for him with all the other teams interested someone will trade for him and sign him to an extension. If yo want a guy you have to go get him you can't hope he makes it to free agency. So I only put Hronek in the trade for Bo because I see that as a most likely piece. I didn't want to include anything for Bert because we have no idea what his value will be at the deadline. With him being so banged up this year 3 separate injuries teams could be leery especially if he doesn't start getting on the score sheet. Maatta for 4 isn't bad I would hope would could sign him for 2 or 3 but he has a say in the matter as well and someone will give it to him after a good year.
