This trade is perfect demonstration of how weak the Buffalo defense has been all year.
For most of the year, he
WAS Buffalo top PK and shut down LHD.
I agree he passed my eye test nearly every night.
BTW, IMO analytics get skewed by the strength of the team mates.
EDIT:
While he was not the top PK defenseman the four year he played for the Flyers, he did have significant PK ice time, and no defense man had more hits than he.
HIs ice time was a bit more sheltered in Philadelphia but in Buffalo he had the lowest percentage of OZ starts of any d-man.
There must not have been any interest from other teams.
