Zegras is horrible, we don't need or want him at all. Those UFA signings I would love, but the Tanev signing is to long and expensive, and the other 2 aren't enough.

I like Zegras, but I doubt we'd ever get him.

I'd like to see DeMelo paired with Chabby again or with Sandy.

Welcome to CapFriendly. Sometimes, it's not too friendly.

If Trevor Zegras recovers from his two serious injuries this past season and scores at his historic 0.73 PPG rate, he'll be the fourth- or fifth-best scorer on your team even if you re-sign Vladimir Tarasenko (which I see you haven't done). Anaheim doesn't need an LD at all, let alone an expensive rental on a badly underwater contract. If he were on the market, we'd want Batherson or Zub or your 2024 first for him.

Would you do #7 for Zegras straight up?

No. (See Andersson, Lias.) We need a risk-mitigator.

I was actually looking at your roster before posting my initial response. I don't know -- there's a poor fit there. Our primary need is RW. Ridley Greig and Roby Jarventie are LWs and probably too much, Shane Pinto is clearly too much and Oskar Pettersson and Tyler Boucher too little. Our next need is RD and I don't see anyone there that would be of interest. You'd have to do a good selling job on Boucher or Pettersson for a deal to involve the pick.

I'd have no problem involving Jarventie lol. Especially since Zegras is another lefty we'd have no room for him~

I refuse to believe that at 23, Zegras has just "lost his game". I picked him for the trade not because I love the player - but because he is on the block and I think it could be a chance to buy low. As for Tanev, every team is the league is looking for right shot veteran D who can play hard minutes. You are going to have to outbid to land him in ottawa.

They probably aren't looking for Chychrun without an extension. But just assume Ottawa moves Chychrun elsewhere and lands Zegras without putting in a roster player.

Zegras wants out. The Ducks wont get full value due to the poor season he just had. Late first rounder/early second rounder and a B+ prospect would likely be the price. Chychrun may fall short of that but not by much. Add a second round pick tops.
