Trading Cirelli

Hawks would probably be ok w/ a straight swap instead of a pick. Just don't think they'd offer both unless the Hawks don't plan to re-sign Raddysh.

Trading Cirelli
Sabres and Lightning are in similar boats - both are in a "win now" mode so making a lateral move of proven players going each way isn't likely. The Sabres want a proven 3C - preferably younger than older - but odds are they don't want to rob their current core or NHL roster to acquire him.
Of course, Lightning aren't interested in picks or prospects, which is the main currency that Buffalo would want to use.

I would think the higher pick would be going to Chicago in the Raddysh/Jeannot trade since it is Tampa who is cap strapped. Having said that I would do the player swap straight up.

I am admitting my mistake—a rarity on this site, I know. Laughton for protected 2026 1st, at the high end, or a defenseman prospect.

that seems really high, its usually like a 4th for 2m retained at the TDL

AFP has him at 3 x 6.1, gave him 5x5 for the term, 5.5 most likely gets him 4 years so the money is around the same. Honestly I don't mind between any one of Merela, Koepke, Goncalves, or even Groshev making the lineup next season

TBL offseason changes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTBF81</b></div><div>It's interesting with Perbix, as I've seen his value on here and other places be all over the place. I highly doubt that Tampa could get a 1st for him, but he should go for more than a 4th or 5th(all values I've seen). I figure if he's moved that it's ultimately for a late 2nd to mid 3rd type range, so that's why I went with this move.</div></div>
I agree with you there. He's a solid bottom pairing defenseman, but he plays the RD side which is a premium. A mid-2nd - early 3rd rounder definitely seems fair.

I have to agree with <a href="/users/CertifiedAverage" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@CertifiedAverage</a>, this feels like a TDL move for both Columbus and Tampa, but I do like it for both teams.

TBL offseason moves v7
If Mateychuk really impresses and they get someone like Brenden Dillon in the off-season, I can see CBJ trading Provorov with 50 % retention to TBL for at least a 1st before the start of the season. I see the proposed trade as something for the TDL, since I'd imagine that they'd want to keep Danforth at least until the TDL, unless they think that he can be replaced by Brindley. My guess would be that they would like to keep Danforth and have Brindley in the AHL to start with.
All in all, I think it's a good trade for Columbus and Tampa Bay, though I imagine that this particular suggestion is more likely to take place at the TDL. But you never know.

That's a trade worthy of serious consideration. Cirelli is an ideal center to add to the Sabres and Jeannot adds that edge in the bottom six.
I'm in
Edit: if Buffalo could land Stephenson on those terms, scrap the Cirelli trade and keep Kulich + the 11th overall.

Trying something new with Cernak and Sam Dickinson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTBF81</b></div><div>From a value perspective, it's not terrible. Tampa fans aren't kidding themselves about Jeannot, and most of us know that he's worth a mid round+maybe late round pick at this point, at best. Cernak is much harder to move though, as while he's not a top pairing RD, he's a very solid 2nd pairing caliber defensive dman, which Tampa is in short supply of. I think Tampa declines not because of value per say, but because they need to add another capable defensive RD this summer, not lose one.</div></div>
Thank you for the feedback! RD are very scarce so I wouldn't expect TBL to even move him. I just expect the Sens to strike out on a quality RD in free agency so we'll likely have to make a trade for one.

So that LA trade does work cap wise. This is still a good lineup. Solid top 6. 3rd line could be sneaky good. Improved blue line.

Anyways that's a terrible trade for CGY. I don't think you're going to trade us Sergachev for Mangiapane + Pachal + 3rd either.</div></div>
Well in fairness Sergachev is better than Andersson, Cirelli is better than Mangiapane, and Perbix is better than Pachal. So no the bolts wouldnt do that. The Andersson trade is much closer in value than this.

Keeping Stamkos and Duclair
The Sheary, Perbix and Jeannot trades all seem realistic value wise. If the Bolts do trade Jeannot, I think they'd give one of the young guys from Syracuse a shot at filling that spot over trading for Armia. UFA signings all seem reasonable as well.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTBF81</b></div><div>Tampa probably declines because of cap limitations, but not because Perbix is some high value piece. Moving him and Sheary allows Tampa to much more easily re-sign both Stamkos and Duclair, as well as having enough left over(after re-signing 3 other near league min contracts) to actually upgrade the 3RD spot. Whether that's with Dumba or another ufa in the 2.5-3 range, they can definitely upgrade there.</div></div>
Yeah that's basically the hope. Personally I'm indifferent on Perbix and don't mind him getting shipped out, same time I don't mind a reasonably cheap cost effective RD that plays great in sheltered minutes either. Smith, at this point I'm not sure if he's salvageable or has any values but I just don't know if he'd even address a need for us aside from the caphit being the biggest turn away.

As a Shark fan, and as a Barabonov fan, I would love to see him get the opportunity to play for a good team and in the playoffs. I think he's the kind of player that needs the right linemates to thrive, can't generate on his own, but if that mix is found he can be productive.
