So much Cap flexibility for the future😌 And this is without raising the Salary Cap. Copp & Compher can also be easily moved if needed for more Cap space.

Idea from NYR post
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gdli</b></div><div>That is not only the most interesting trade proposal I've seen for Trouba, but the best one. Well thought out. The Rangers pick up a draft (they are pick poor in 24') and pick up two serviceable players.
Because of the Rangers CAP space issues, both this year and next, NYR probably can only keep OR they can wheel and deal for 2024 draft picks AND/OR to facilitate a RW1. For the NYR The real fun starts at end of the 24-25 season when the have to re-up Shesterkin, Lafrenière, Miller, and 5-6 RFAs. Fasten your seat belts.</div></div>
I made an AGM of this trade here: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/847499?post_id=4973593

If the NYR are looking to part ways with Ryan Lindgren, I think they would entertain this trade.

Fabbri to SJ to pair with Celebrini or Smith might be a smart move.

Thx for stealing my idea hahaha
I think this would be good for Detroit too ngl... Trouba would get to play at home, in Michigan, and with 1M retained, he would be less of a liability. And the NYR agree to buy Holl out, preventing Detroit from having to take on this dead cap hit. Petry would become the NYR's 3rd RD, behind Fox and Schneider

If this is a draft day trade, LA no longer has Roy's rights because he's been a UFA for about a month.

Ok Holl and Fabbri for Mangiapane $2M retained.

Necas isn't a good C though.
He's a much better winger.
Detroit shouldn't be targeting Necas in my opinion.
I don't think he's worth what Carolina wants for him.

Hockeytown
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JhonnyCanuck5</b></div><div>Maatta and Fabbri are dumps for Detroit but still more than capable on the NHL level. Are they paid 1 mill too much each? Sure. But they are on expiring deals and hoping to earn a next one, plus both can be flipped for picks at the TDL as playoff teams are always looking for secondary scoring and D help. Trading a 5th or 6th and flipping it for a 3rd or 4th seems like good business to me.</div></div>
Posters get angry on here when you trade Fabbri and Maatta.
Happens each time I post a Red Wings CFACGM.
I agree with you.
They won't be as hard to move as people think because they both have 1 year remaining on their contracts.
Heck, Fabbri scored 18 goals in 63 games. 🤭

Yeah, I mixed up the players. Trade was supposed to have been Mangiapane + 2024 1st for Berggen.
My bad.

For sure, but yeah, we ain't gonna know that until the pre-season when everything is settled.
As it stands Yzerman has already said he doesn't see anybody in GR making the team to start next year, other than maybe Berggren and Johansson.

They are similar players. I'd rather have Nico but you could go other way. The cap savings imo make nico an easy choice

their not sens fans, they hate the sens, it is why they keep making ridiculously bad trade that would guarantee the sens are a bottom 5 team forever.
OTT declines that trade, not even close

Not a lot has gone right for Detroit from awful lottery luck to losing 2 players out of our top 6. This is a much needed win for Detroit and that should be enough.

Wings pass. Kuby is on a good deal and provides 20 goals a year. If you want kuby then the 17th overall is off the table. We can swap for the 2024 Boston pick.
Counter offer.
Kubalik. 2024 Boston 1st Round Pick. 2023 2nd Round pick (43rd Overall)
