Your 2 top lines have no physical strength and will get run over by the likes of Boston etc.
On D you have a Gost the turnover machine or Petry the tank commander (as in tanking the season) playing with rookie Johansen. Not a good combo
Otherwise doable but not advisable IMHO
Need a lot more physical/sand paper types especially on top lines and better choice on D-men</div></div>
I don’t necessarily disagree with your take, I’d love a more physical team, but with the Seider and Raymond extensions, plus a couple of bad contracts, I’m not sure what options are out there. The 1 obvious one is replace Gjost with a Roy or even Chatifield type to improve the blue line.

Kane is definitely a huge question mark but why do you say Berggren is gone? Could they trade him? Sure. Could they also see a potential 20 goals for a 1M cap hit? Also sure.

Why not? Detroit was a top 10 scoring team. Edvinsson is a major upgrade over Holl, Johansson and Maatta area wash and a major upgrade in net.
Also, maybe Ullmark does but I’ve seen Buium and a 2nd for him a few times, so I added a 5th.

While I agree it’s EXTREMELY unlikely, especially in the short term, never say never. Kane, Modano, Alfredsson, Chelios, Hasek, Hull, Robitaille, Todd Bertuzzi, Cujo…..all legends of other teams who played for Detroit.

Wings-Bruins Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>Rarely, do goalies with this pedigree become available without the team being in cap distress. GM’s like winning and stability too much.
Almost every trade of a goalie that gets flagged here as proof of value has underlying cap implications or teams are incented to keep them. I don’t believe the market for forwards is driven by the cap dumps that have happened recently and show them as proof why x player should be cheaper.
The contract being up is the biggest point. I also don’t believe Wallider or Buium plus a 2nd is that big of a price to pay.
I would prefer Boston trade Ullmark to give him the chance he deserves, but keeping him is easily a consideration if teams low ball Sweeney.</div></div>
Fine, Buium and a 2nd and Illmark signs a 3 year extension. Deal

I don’t think either team does the Kings trade.
This will be an unpopular opinion, but why would Detroit trade a 1st to dump Copp but take on a guy with similar production, a longer term, higher AAV, a worse defender, and a history of being a bit of a drama (LA)king? PLD is obviously a better player, but based on last year, not sure it’s worth it.
Copp- .41ppg- 5.625M- 3 years
PLD- .47ppg- 8.5M-7 years
Dergachyov is an interesting wild card though.
Also, I’m not sure Anderson is better than Berggren, let alone adding Veleno and a pick.
I get the Flames trade but I don’t think it’s worth losing Walman and a 2nd to upgrade from Husso to Markstrom.

Detroit should not pay a premium to dump Copp. The contract is 1M too expensive but he’s not a pylon. I also wouldn’t do the Flames trade if I’m Detroit. Yeah, you may be upgrading in goal a bit but you’re weakening an already weak blue line in that trade.
Only one of Danielson, Kasper, and Soderblom make the team out of camp, at most.

Wings-Bruins Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Grier isn't stupid.
He's not doing Detroit a favor just because you want Detroit rid themselves of Husso's contract.
The Sharks don't have to make bad trades just because they have cap space.
Is that obvious enough for you?
Pay up or keep him.
Veleno simply isn't worth 2.2 mil.
You're blind about Ullmark.
It's Detroit fans who've proposed a prospect and a 2nd.
Most Bruins fans and other teams fans have them getting a 1st in return which is fair because he's a recent Vezina winner.</div></div>
To me the idea of getting Husso and a pick for basically nothing, then possibly flipping him at the TDL to a goalie desperate team for another pick makes sense.
Again, that’s would be the max for Veleno, 1.5 is more accurate.
As far as Ullmark goes, I’ve seen at least 3 Bruins fans suggest Buium and a 2nd for him. Remember, goalies rarely get traded for much, especially on expiring deals.

If Perron is back, then he’s in the lineup, likely in the 3rd line. Copp likely on the 3rd line. I’d love to see Danielson make the jump but it’s more likely he starts in GR, same with Mazur. Maybe a little light on the Kane deal, unfortunately I think he’ll get 5M from someone, maybe Detroit.

Wings-Bruins Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Any team but the Sharks.
Dumping Husso will cost more.
Ullmark will cost more.
If Veleno gets 2.2 in arbitration then Yzerman needs to walk away.
Hakanpaa isn't going to sign with Detroit to be 7D.
Seider probably gets closer to Larkin money.
You're buying UFA years and the cap is projected to increase each season.
Plus Mo is logging hard minutes each night blocking too many shots. 😬</div></div>
I used the Sharks for obvious reasons: rebuilding, cap space…
I’m not sure dumping Husso will cost a lot with only 1 year left and he’s at the very least a serviceable backup on a bad 1 year deal.
I’ve seen a few Ullmark for a young D prospect and a 2nd trades on here, so ai added a 4th.
Veleno likely gets less but that’s the max I’d imagine. I like Veleno, I think he does a lot of the little things well.
Hakanpaa would be in the lineup, Petry scratch. I missed that one.
Seider and Raymond contracts are interesting. We’ll see where they land.

I figured getting a 2nd and a 4th could be enough for a team to take Holl. Even if it’s just to buy him out as his buyout is only $1M.
I feel like Fabbri is a good flip candidate because yeah 4M is probably too high for him, but it’s 1 year left and he can still score 15-20 goals. Could potentially flip him for like a 3rd or so at the TDL.

Fair. Goalie trade values are always weird. Rare for a goalie to go for more than a 2nd, which is probably a big reason why we don’t see a ton of goalie trades.
