I’d like to see Detroit keep Veleno. Take him out and Calgary keeps their 3rd and I’d like it a lot more. Not sure if Flames do though.

Weird, I was gonna say the opposite, remove everything but Veleno and the 3rd from that trade and Flames probably accept

As a Red Wings fan, I like a lot of Veleno’s development. He’s never going to be a top 6 C but I could see him being a very good 3C. He’s one of those guys who doesn’t do any 1 thing great but doesn’t multiple things well.

Yeah I've seen him play live a couple times. It was more the rest of the package is not appealing for Markstrom and I would rather keep Markstrom and give Veleno a shot

Fair. Goalie trade values are always weird. Rare for a goalie to go for more than a 2nd, which is probably a big reason why we don’t see a ton of goalie trades.
