The only way I see the Flames involved in a Marner trade is in a 3 way deal, the teams who want him won't want to give up quality roster players and Toronto won't be that interested in futures.

Only way I see Detroit being interested in Kampf is if Fabbri goes back. Even then the term likely makes it not viable for us.

People need to stop trying to make Kampf to Detroit happen. He does the one thing that the Wings have a ton of as is

I can't see the Flames not being interested in accelerating their rebuild. Allows them to bring in a quality asset and get something meaningful now for Markstrom with Wolf waiting in the wings.

Wrong, Andersson and Markstrom each easily fetch more than Marner. It'd be sheer stupidity to trade both of them for Marner. Marner is pretty much worthless without retention or an extension. With 50% retention he's a rental worth a late 1st + a 2nd/3rd/B prospect. It might even take double retention for a team that's interested to fit his cap hit in and that'll cost extra.
