Geekie timeline is exactly what is needed in Utah, especially if he stays in the middle, physical to Cooley skill, 1c/2c, not looking to move unless there’s a potential number 1 d involved.

Habs would have a hard time to say no to this offer... but TBH, they can afford to wait out Anderson and Gally's contracts.

Come on man.

Red Wings aren't trading Kasper just so they can acquire a 34 year old goalie and rid themselves of 2 cap dumps. LOL

Your values are all over the place. Pittsburgh probably getting Kuz for cheap, then Dallas gives up a kings ransom for Coleman.

Not the player, but the contract. I think Habs would truly do this. I just don't think to have another 2 overpaid guys in the line-up for Flames would work other than working to get in the top 3 picks for the next 3-5 years. Also thought of Kadri and Gallagher on the same line is great (but like 4-6 years ago).

I can't see Yzerman giving up Kasper for a season of Markström. Especially with the way Cossa played this year.

1. Not unless Conroy likes Kasper a whole lot more than I do.
2. Probably. It depends on how much Calgary likes Geekie.
3. Nope, probably not even without the retention. Kuzmenko has been a good fit so far, Calgary will want to see how he looks next year.
4. No. It'll take more than just a late 1st (Florida's 2026 1st) to take on Anderson and Gallagher. You're not dealing with Bonehead Brad in Calgary anymore talk to Toronto instead.
5. Probably not. Bourque isn't bad but he's small, the Flames want to get bigger not just younger and Coleman is one vet they should keep unless they get a terrific offer.
6. Absolutely not!
7. Not even close to gettting Andersson.
8. Hard to say, depends on how the Flames project Klapa's future in Calgary.

No i don’t think that makes the stars significantly better to justify 2 late first rounders/picks (basically). The Stars don’t need a Coleman unless they’re trading another forward with a contract (Marchment, if his contract was as long as Coleman’s). The low cost young forwards are needed to balance out Seguin’s contract for another 3-4 years. I would hope they wouldn’t even do Bourque + a later round pick for a big contract player, it’s not a fit for the stars.

These are all terrible for the Flames except the ARI & DAL Trades which simply don’t happen, so back to the drawing board

Signing Edmundson is extra foolish. The guy should retire already

Holl's buyout is less than $1.5M per season, Husso is either LTIR or a slightly overpaid backup, and Kasper is a good prospect. Not worth giving up for a 34 year old goalie.
