Sure but I don't think Lindholm will accept a single year.

Leaf fans have overlooked the fact this team added Beniot, Lybushkin and Edmundson to toughen up the team for a long playoff run, but instead those 3 meathead pylons (4 when you include Dubas left pylon McCabe) couldn't move the puck up fast enough out of the DZone that it caused the Leafs offensive to dry up.

Maybe Dubas' fancy puckmoving Dman plan was correct.

Geez offer an extra million to Pesce. It will be an overpay sure but it's way smarter than giving a 35 year old Tanev 5.5 million. What ab absolute horrible signing that would be.

He's 29 and just had his worst year in 8 seasons. In Vancouver he was a borderline healthy scratch at times.

I'd be shocked if he didn't take a 1 year deal to try and raise his value before signing a 4-6 year deal next year.

I agree but Tre won't.

Already loads of insiders reporting Tanev as the #1 target for Tre.

CJ said 4x$5M could be the price. So if anything I think I could be low.

As per my previous comment, puck moving Dmen, I would target Montour for $6.5 AAV, though his injury prone days are concerning (VGK LTIR formula could help here) .

Doesn't Montour fetch way way more?

True, Orlov got $7.75 AAV so...that'll be closer.

It's been long on it's way to ruin but I completely agree this summer of signing every UFA over 6'6' will be the final nail.

I genuinely would not be surprised if we finish the offseason with a backend of:

Rielly-Tanev
McCabe-Myers
Benoit-Desharnais

And Tanev and Myers signed until they are 40.
