In division trade not going to happen; could have saved you time there.
I’m a Marner guy, but that Stars trade is preposterous - no way they give up player like Hintz for pending UFA.
I would accept young, promising player (on elc) + picks; cap space to sign RHD FAs is priority.

Yeah, Detroit ain’t giving Toronto two firsts, a 2nd, and a top 4 D on a good contract for their overpaid prima donna who doesn’t show up when it matters and is about to be UFA.

I don’t see why teams would overpay for a rental winger who is overpaid and just had a lackluster playoff performance for the how many times in a row. Especially since 2/3rds of his career points are assists in matthews goals. He’s a good player but I can’t see him getting anywhere close to these returns especially since he will have to waive in order to be traded. My guess is Toronto re-signs him
