Truly astounding that you think both:
1/ Marner would waive for San Jose; nice city but they’re in a serious rebuild and it’s a contract year for him
2/ leafs would accept that return - a 4th liner + mid picks

Bruins FO, right or wrong, seems to think that durability and size are the key qualities they want in defenders. I don't think Ferraro fits that mold, so I don't see them giving up a first for him. I also don't see space on the regular roster for Givani Smith, so I don't see them using a roster spot on him.
