10 center targets ranked by likelihood
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LosPatos</b></div><div>Because we have Lukas Dostal for free..? He’s one of the best up and coming goalies in the league and just complete tore it up the Worlds. Swayman will cost an extremely high price and an extremely high contract extension. Meanwhile, Dostal won’t need a big pay day for a few more years.
It’s much more valuable for the Ducks to keep their path going with Dostal than completely throw off the process by trading for Swayman.</div></div>
His stat line and profile don’t say he’s what you say he is. That’s one of the frustrating aspects with young teams. A reasonable percentage of the high profile prospects are simply not good at the NHL level. It could be he’s not ready and he’ll just take time. The assumption that all young players hit is actually one of the bigger fallacies around

But Lindholm for 5 years I'd do, it's the 6-7 years that make it tricky for me. I just don't want to see the prime of mcavoy/pasta wasted because they don't have centers.</div></div>
I believe these values are accurate if the player makes it past the first few days of free agency. Not all will. My guess is if they aren’t signed by end of week 1, it could be worse.
Lindholm is a great system fit and I believe the Bruins are going to pay a premium to get him

We have a 28 year old franchise player on offense, a 26 year old franchise player on defense, and a 26 year old goaltender that just put up an incredible run in the playoffs (he’s still 3 goals up on GsaX for the playoffs with 2nd and 3rd playing).
We have the best record over the past two years. I love the ducks young talent, but don’t you have the worst record over the past two years? I get being excited about your young talent, but there is no reason to make an untrue statement. We have several players where Zegras isn’t even in the same stratosphere in terms of quality of player. Please don’t pretend like he is better than he is,

He is very me oriented. Don’t see that fitting in with the club and he’s likely going to secure more in a trade than I’d be willing to give
I believe they are signing Lindholm for considerably more than the AFP Analytics numbers

I dont hate it. Sens fans will probably say no but thats why they're a poverty franchise.
I think Marchessault on a 3 year deal makes a ton of sense.

Since they need two more depth pieces to complete the roster, it's probably Bertuzzi that doesn't get signed (he probably gets a little more in FA anyways so fair enough) and that money can go to depth players like an extra forward and a 7th d for league min.
As far as shuffling the roster goes, I'd move Zacha to 2lw, then let coyle and Poitras battle for 2c.
I love the idea of bringing in both Necas and Lindholm, we're on the same page there. Top 6 looks way better now.</div></div>

Mcdavid: Draisaitl
Makar: Mackinnon
MacKinnon: Makar
Matthews: Marner
Kucherov: Point
Pastrnak: Heinen/Zacha lmao
Panarin: Zibanejad
Rantanen: Mackinnon
Tkachuk: Barkov
Hughes: Pettersson
Back to the main point, Draisaitl is top 5. There's no rational argument for him being outside of the top 6, that's for sure.</div></div>
Too funny that they'd say Tkachuk is a top 10 player when Barkov is much better.

I’m not going to argue that because he hasn’t proven it in the playoffs (1 average, 1 bad) in years when he’s played more than 1 game.
Whether you view him as elite or not, he has been the best goalie in the league over the past two regular seasons with the stat that normalizes difficulty of chances and has a Vezina to his name.
For a team that has a goalie where the opposing teams fans cheer his name, I’m not sure what the point is? He’d be a massive upgrade if you could acquire him

His record Goals Saved Above Expected / 60 is easily the best in the league over the past two years for goalies that have played significant games each year (30).
It also suggests that he was arguably one of the bigger parts of that presidents trophy teams record because the Boston system actually exposes their goalies to more high quality shots
This trade is a joke, but there is no reason to disparage Ullmark if you haven’t actually watched him

I just feel like it could be hard to win in the playoffs with the top 2 centers being 5’11 and 5’9
Then again if this new generation of “undersized” centers (Jack Hughes, Celebrini, etc.) can cut it at an elite level I don’t see why Rossi would be any different
