He still has Hyman. And Mcavoy isn't pasta's linemate, plus he's absolutely not even close to elite offensively.

He ain’t a top 5 player. Keep dreaming.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ryminister_92</b></div><div>No he’s not.
Top 5 in no particular order:
McDavid
Makar
MacKinnon
Matthews
Kucherov
From there to finish out the top 10:
Pastrnak
Panarin
Rantanen
Matt Tkachuk
Quinn Hughes
Then you could start to argue Draisaitl but he’s definitely not top 5. Not even close.</div></div>
The only one you could even realistically debate in the 6-10 range is pasta, and that's only because he's proven he can produce surrounded by a garbage offense. Every other top 10 player you listed has AR LEAST one other elite linemate:
Mcdavid: Draisaitl
Makar: Mackinnon
MacKinnon: Makar
Matthews: Marner
Kucherov: Point
Pastrnak: Heinen/Zacha lmao
Panarin: Zibanejad
Rantanen: Mackinnon
Tkachuk: Barkov
Hughes: Pettersson
Back to the main point, Draisaitl is top 5. There's no rational argument for him being outside of the top 6, that's for sure.

He's absolutely a top 5 player I can't see how it's even debatable honestly. You could maaaaybe say Makar is 5 if Matthews/kucherov/mackinnon/mcdavid are top 4, but to try and argue that even 2 of those guys are above Draisaitl isn't easy. I'd say 75% of hockey fans or analysts have him top 5

Bringing in a goalie
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JackAce91</b></div><div>My issue isn't really in thinking Ullmark is a great goalie or not. It's that an elite Center is drastically more important than an elite goalie, and that the center in question is significantly better in his position than the goalie in his position. So there is no reason this trade should be 1 for 1. If this was prime Brodeur, then a 1 for 1 can be at least discussed. But Ullmark wasn't even the best goalie on his team this year (I hate how lucky Boston is for the elite Ullmark to be the 2nd best goalie).
If I were the Oilers, I would be asking for Ullmark and Lindholm, plus Zacha probably. Or Ullmark plus Lysell and unretained Nurse goes the other way. Oilers would have all the cards in their favor if Drai is on the market.</div></div>

Oh man don't compare Ullmark to skinner, it's genuinely not even close. The bruins lack of faith in him is also not even a thing, he played excellent in his game against TOR, but let's be real the reason he didn't keep starting is because of swayman... .955 save % in the first round. No goalie is playing games when you have a guy putting up those stats.

Put aside the names for a sec, and just think about that in general terms. It’s like trading a shortstop for a reliever. Or a quarterback for a right guard.
Goalies are unpredictable, and thus fairly return huge amounts in trade market. Most of the ones that are moved are unwanted contracts or speculative buys.
Young, point-per-game, Selke-candidate centers never get moved.</div></div>
Agreed, Devils will be fine. They have some solid goalies in the system

Oh just for fun. I'm well aware centers like that don't get traded outside of unique circumstances like Eichel in '21. This is something I'd see as roughly fair for both sides but I knew Bruins fans would say no simply because they like swayman and devils fans overreact when you talk about a center trade lol

Tough puzzle to crack
Hmm that's fairly interesting as a B's fan, would be hard to say no, the only potential thing that would hold me back if I was GM was that Cirelli is a middle 6 center which the bruins already have a handful of with Coyle/Zacha/Poitras/Geekie/Frederic. I'd rather spend the money on someone who can play 1c (not someone who is a 1c, but someone who can do it for now), like Lindholm. The center market is bone dry though...

Bergeron/Krejci was a solid duo for a while, I'd be good with 2 top centers haha. Lindholm probably only has another 3ish years of being able to hold that role down, which is good timing with Poitras/Rossi to fully take over 1 and 2 c

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jfkst1</b></div><div>I think you did a good job trying to make it realistic. I find Lindholm dangerously overrated so I would be terrified of that contract personally.</div></div>
I think he's a little overrated too, and this is definitely an overpayment. The perfect world contract for him is probably about the 4x6 Taylor Hall signed back in 2021.
There are two reasons I would sign this contract:
1: There is no other option at center as far as UFAs or trading goes, so having him during pasta's prime is better than running back what we know doesn't work
2: He can play right wing pretty well too, so if this contract does end up aging poorly, he can be a middle six winger for the final couple years. And if they do happen to find a center in the meantime, same thing. That would be an excellent problem to have

I like the moves, but the contracts/trades aren't quite fair, here's what I'd expect to be more realistic:
Vegas doesn't need a goalie, and Ullmark wants to stay in the east, so I'd imagine his return is a late first or early second rounder or roughly a second line winger. If they did want someone of William Karlssons value, they'd probably have to add a mid to high level prospect or a good draft pick just to match value
Return for Carlo seems about right, maaaaaaybe he gets a late first
Beecher/Geekie/Wother wouldn't get a first. maybe a second and third instead
Most contracts look good, no overpayments, but Swayman gets at least 7m, Zadorov probably around 4 or so, Debrusk around 5 or so. Stamkos definitely gets more than that, could see him getting 3-4 years at 7.5 mil
Stephenson and Heinen contracts look spot on, the rest look good too

I like it, both trades are solid, all singings are good, love the Aho signing, swayman and Lindholm are probably pretty accurate contract wise too. That Heinen contract seems like a lot at first, but I guess he's kinda earned it. I'd be alright with a 1 mil player in that spot though to save some $ for the deadline.

It's hard to see him staying when VAN already has two centers better than him locked up for years, but I don't doubt he's enjoying his time there. I just don't think Vancouver will get much out of him, other teams like boston ro Nashville would be willing to pay more

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jfkst1</b></div><div>Lindholm looks like a huge risk to me, but if BOS wants to go all in on this core go ahead. Dallas would only trade Hintz on an overpayment so it would cost an absolute fortune to get. There would be a massive bidding war for him as he has no trade protections until July 1st. Carlo AND Lohrei is around the value of what Nill will want. Sweeney desperately NEEDS a center. Nill doesn't need to trade Hintz. Necas does seem like the best risk to take as he is at least young and has less downside risk and likely won't cost a fortune. Might only be Ullmark with an extension.</div></div>
It is a huge risk, but I'd rather take a risk than keep a roster that we know can't win, that's extremely boring lol
I'd be very tempted to trade Carlo and Lohrei for Hintz. It's removing two top four d men, but if they sign Pesce and another left shot, it isn't the end of the world. Carlo and Lohrei are both underrated though so who knows what their value is - although GMs know better lol

I think the biggest risk is not acquiring anyone. I’d rather go Lindholm and a minimum player than Stephenson and a 2.5m player</div></div>
Agreed, we all know their current center situation doesn't work, not that it needed to be proven, but I think we can all fully accept an upgrade is needed if they're serious about competing in the playoffs. Pasta is good enough to where they might not need an elite 1c, so someone like Lindholm could be enough for now at least
