Trades
1.
CAR
  1. Brännström, Erik [RFA Rights]
  2. Tkachuk, Brady
Additional Details:
Couple things:

1) CAR needs a culture change like FLA did
2) Matthew's value > Brady's value
OTT
  1. Morrow, Scott
  2. Murray, Blake [RFA Rights]
  3. Necas, Martin [RFA Rights]
  4. 2024 1st round pick (CAR)
Additional Details:
Huberdeau = Necas
Weegar = Morrow
Schwindt = Murray
1st = 1st

Better prospects coming back to help balance deal since CAR can't get up NHL proven top pair defenseman like a Weegar + Brannstrom for bottom pair.

Yeesh no thanks. Those comparisons are a joke. The Sens don’t want a Matt Tkachuk type trade anyways

In terms of value.. that’s a pretty damn good value offer for Tkachuk actually.

I would LOVE to have Necas just not at the cost of Brady. Necas would be awesome with Timmy though, a player who can play at his speed.

The difference in the situation with Matthew is that he wanted out and made it clear he wasn’t signing a contract or playing another game for Calgary. Tkachuk didn’t have a contract at the time and part of the deal was him signing 8 years in Florida which played part in the value of the pieces going to Calgary.

Unless Brady does the same, any team looking to get him is going to overpay. This may be a pretty good fair value deal, but it’s not an overpay.

I don’t think necas fits this team. He’s not the centerpiece the Sens need

Yeah I agree with this . Plus Matthew picked the 4 teams he was willing to extend with . Brady has no clauses for now.

I think something like Marchenko + 4th overall type of pick or Nemec and a 2nd would be more of what the Sens would be looking for .

Need a legit young piece they can build around with top line / top pair potential

I recommend looking at the Matthew Tkachuk trade again, the pieces that were involved in it at the time as well as the context behind it.

Your trade for Brady Tkachuk here bears no resemblance to it whatsoever.
