Detroit declines.

Both players are on bad contracts.

But Chiarot has 2 years left.

Krug has 4. 😬

Bigger may not be accurate here. You are trading away two 6’3’ and one 6’5 guy for a 5’9 6’2 and 6’3 guy.

I can’t see bruins parting with Frederic for anything less than a 1st.

Hayes doesn’t help the fact we need to get younger and that 2nd has a low chance of becoming anything.

Bruins need prospects with top 6 potential we have enough guys that can fill out the bottom 6 but outside of lohrei/ poitras/ lysell and maybe Merkulov we lack top talent.

Maybe if someone like Bolduc was coming back Boston would consider.

Frederic is also not a 4th liner he’s a a 2 way middle 6 guy over the last 2 seasons his game and has transitioned big time from a fighter/grinder to a 2 way forward who has a strong wrist shot and is good at getting open.

If anything you’d want him with someone like Thomas or hayes who are good passers and can get him the puck

Hayes may be bigger then Frederic but Freddy is more physical and better fighter and overall players a heavier game. Hayes is more finesse like even though he’s a giant it’s always been my one knack against guys like him and mantha they are skilled but play small

You would have to add significant sweeteners to that Detroit deal to make them consider. Not saying Chiarot has a ton of value, just no desire to make that trade from the Wings perspective.

Definitely…both players would be going home. Two of Hayes best games of the season were against the Bruins. I think he would really be motivated playing in Boston

Believe me I know how unphysical Hayes is. I was stuck watching him for 3 years as a Flyers fan. I was thrilled we got rid of him. He NEVER checked, and he wasn’t even a good penalty killer.

Fair enough. I’d pass. If we would just add a one timer threat like Perron on the pp Krug would look a lot better. I’m not excited about Chiarot either but if you lose Ghost a swap here could benefit both teams

I consider Ghost's departure addition by subtraction lol.

The contract being more money with an extra year is a very negative factor. We are going to be a cap team next year, alot of money going to Raymond and Seider. Walman or Seider can run the power play or maybe we go after Barrie for cheap. We shouldn't be in a position to add "worse" contracts unless it's worth while. I think you guys will be stuck with Krug.

Actually makes a ton of difference. Chiarot is also a bad contract. IMO both similarly paid and both could benefit by a change of scenery

Gost puts up points but is a third pairing guy, there is a reason for that. His offense really helped the team and made them not exciting to watch but we really need to get better defensively. That's why the addition by subtraction.

Most likely at least another year. Consensus is he would only waive for Boston or Detroit.

Chiarot actually had a pretty decent season. He may be overpaid but his style of game is something we lack.
