Not that much disparity in value, but Seattle isn't going to buy Matheson when they have Dunn. If you're moving Matheson, you have to move him to a team that is competitive that needs a power play defenseman... ie Toronto.

Eiserman or Connelly

Your odd man out is whoever other teams are asking for. Nobody's asking for a smallish left shot guy unless a team sorely lacks depth breakout guys. The guys other teams will ask for are Xhekaj, because he's big and physical, which is exactly what a lot of teams want in their bottom 4 D in the playoffs, and Matheson because he can run a power play and that might be in high demand in the offseason.
What Barron has going for him is that he isn't small and he's right shot, and he'll be good in a 4-5 spot in a year or two.

Sharks are going to look to move up.
And you're offering two nickels and a penny (Harris) for a quarter.

Rough Mock With A Question
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DevilsFanZack13</b></div><div>I gotta say, I watched some clips of Eiserman teeing off slap shots and they look so good. I wonder if NJ got Eiserman if they pair him with Hughes and maybe a 2 way winger and that could cover some of his not so good play off the puck?</div></div>
He's got the capacity... he's a pretty thick guy, so why can't he win puck battles? It's not like he's huge, but 200 lbs is much harder to knock off a puck than 180. I'm guessing when he does make it in 2025-26 year, he's going to be around 205-210.

Rough Mock With A Question
He'd be my #4 behind Celebrini, Demidov, Parekh... just based on ceiling
This is a league that raves about Matthews, this guy is nearly as good as Matthews, is "properly" a winger, and for some reason, commodity value is down on him in favour of mostly #2 type d-men and fairy tale projections with other guys.
Plainly put... Eiserman doesn't "wow" people; he's an efficient goal scorer who's going to pot 40+ on a routine basis.

we'd be looking for another goalie anyway if Demko's out with another LBI

Draft Lottery reaction picking
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TyeZerker</b></div><div>If those Dman fall you know teams will trade up right? So more players on NJ who struggle to get pts? no thanks, where the size for NJ too?</div></div>
I predict NJ will end up with one of Helenius or Brandsegg Nygard... and Helenius doesn't struggle to get points... not only does he get points, because he's actually good off the puck, and has good forechecking, he'd be an excellent complement for their other forwards.
Helenius is a borderline top 5 talent like most of the top 12 players in this draft. He may have the most complete game out of all of them, because he's playing in the hardest league among all these players and is still pretty productive. People would hate the pick at first, and love it in two years.
NJ's struggle to get points stems from their lack of support system, not lack of talent.
As for the defensemen... I don't think Buium falls to 13... he could go top 5. But somebody's falling to 13 who doesn't belong there... you have to pick someone. If it's Eiserman, it'll be like last year with a bunch of teams skipping over Benson.

Great, NJ can become like Toronto... crush regular seasons with 115 points, and get stomped in the first round cuz their goalie has the psychological fortitude of a 13 year old girl
And they'll make new excuses every year as to why they lose over and over and over again
May as well stock up on paper bags if they give away a bunch of assets for whom they treat like Marty Brodeur, but who is more like Patrick Lalime

Depending on whos still available
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jamnjon</b></div><div>I get that, but teams will generally only overpay so much. The absolute highest overpay I saw from any team going back to 2007 also happened to involve the Sharks - it was when they traded back from 11 with Arizona a couple years ago so Arizona could get Geekie and the Sharks got 27, 34, and 45 which was a 31.58% overpay. If you notice, the Coyotes moved 1 pick higher than the Sharks are moving here and they started from 13 picks lower and it cost them slightly lower picks to do so, and that's the largest overpay I saw. With 14, 33, and 42 it would be a 76.36% overpay. The team wants quality over quantity, but there are limits to how much quantity they'll sacrifice.
Also, if Yakemchuk is seeming like he'll be there at 14, he fits more of a need for the Sharks than Eiserman, especially since they won the lottery and are taking Celebrini at 1.</div></div>
Just addressing your last statement: If the Sharks had a pick between Eiserman and Yakemchuk, they'd take Eiserman in a heartbeat: Celebrini is well acquainted with Eiserman, having played with him before, and Eiserman is an elite scorer who would complement him well. They wouldn't turn down the possibility of having one of the league's best 1-2 punches. Plus, I don't know if a decision's been made, yet, but if Celebrini goes back to Boston U next year, Eiserman will join him there.

Chicago will consider offers for 2OA if they want a guy like Parekh and believe they can trade down and still get him.
MOST years you don't seen top 5 picks moved... I thought last year it might happen, it didn't. We'll say it will happen this year, but it probably won't...

Depending on whos still available
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jamnjon</b></div><div>Based on the Athletic pick values pick 12 is worth 5.5 GSVA, pick 14 is 5.1, 33 is 2.6, and 42 is 2.0. I looked through 18 trades moving up in the 1st round and teams overpaid by about 10-20% so a team moving up to 12 would be expected to pay around 6.05-6.6 GSVA. 14 and 42 is 7.1 which is a bit over a 30% overpay. It's possible that happens, but I can't see pick 33 being included as well.</div></div>
Keep in mind that every draft year is different. If there's a guy at 12 that San Jose feels is a superstar (Eiserman, for example) that hasn't been picked, yet... they may use excess capital to make it happen.
Especially, in this case, if Philly believe they'll get their guy at 14 anyway... let's suppose they're going after Yakemchuk.
