Its never a bad deal to get someone on an ELC. Sure they may have given him a little much but maybe Steve-Y sees something in him that he really likes

Nice to see a 7th rounder get inked. He's been okay in the WHL points wise, but his style of play is really intriguing. Excellent motor, great skater, surprisingly good shot, hard worker. Definitely someone to keep an eye on, could put together a decent NHL career as a solid bottom 6 option with upside. He's a bit of a project, but then again most 7th rounders are. Didn't get to watch a ton of him this year, but I liked what I saw with Kamloops last year. It was nice to see him finally get a chance this season with the departures of guys like Minten and Stankoven.
