Knights up 5-1 in the second period. Cowan assisted on or scored all 5 goals. Crazy game from the kid

Leafs Prospects, Draft Picks and More
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>Im honestly debating whether TOR should trade the 23 OA pick in a deal to NSH involving Saros
Yes I have loved Elick for a while BUT
TOR needs to go get a starter they can rely on
I know some will say Woll. Woll has shown flashes but here's the issue
Guy cant stay healthy. He played 25 games in the regular season and was not great towards the end. Then come playoffs plays 2 games and hurt himself again
He's basically gotten the label now of being injury prone
How confident should we be this kid can play 41 games 2024-2025 and take us on a long run in the post season.
Goalie market sucks this summer with not many wow candidates
I think we need to go invest in someone and that pick can help us get it done</div></div>
He has one year till UFA. I like Saros but I don't think he's our answer personally.
Also not sure how the cap would work on that. Unless it was an extend and trade I wouldn't give up that much for him

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NorthernLeafsFan05</b></div><div>Since we have known that the Leafs will pick at 23, I have come to the conclusion that we <em>need</em> to draft Charlie Elick. Really wanted Hage, but I doubt he'll be available. Elick is a guy who would be a complete game changer for us. Long term, physical 2RD. Clears the net super well and has a good point shot (granted you won't be relying on him for significant offensive output).
Elick is him</div></div>
Agreed. I wanted the leafs to draft Elick for months now

Sens offseason
I don't really see why the Leafs would need to do this. They need more prospects, and there is a bunch of UFAs who could fill the same role for cheaper

I loved Keefe and thought he was great, but they really couldn't do much more under him it looked like.
Hoping a coaching change will push them farther

Wow good catch. I believe if he'd played one more game he'd qualify as an RFA no? (77GP + 2Playoff GP = 79GP, while he needs 80 to not be a G VI UFA?)

That's just unreasonable to say trade Matthews. He shows up more than most, he single handedly made the game 4 comeback last year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Saskleaf</b></div><div>At this point I want them to look at Matthews trades. We need to stop only criticizing Marner and giving Matthews a pass. Matthews has been crap in the playoffs year after year and every year we go “well he’s a generational talent”. I don’t care, if he’s only going to score 1 goal every playoff round in a random game 2, he’s a useless player.</div></div>
No. He set up the only goal this game with a solo effort.
