Coleman doesn't fit in with the Isles, they need a top 6 winger not another center. Tho the value is probably fair there if it was another team

Habs decline.
So yeah, it's far from fair value.
It STARTS with both of your 1st round picks. And even then.

I don’t think leafs will trade there first. I’d trade Robb, Lily and (prospects) for markstorm, hopefully at 2 million retained??

Yeah, that trade up offer doesn't get it done. If Demidov and Lindstrom are both off the board, 9 + a top 36 pick for 5 would be reasonable.

can i ask what you mean by "prospects"?, I'd expect at least one of Knies or Cowan would be needed

Minnesota declines easily. Try offering more quality and less quantity.

Idk I've always thought of him as a center. I guess you're right he does play wing but I still don't think he's a fit

Debrincat went for a late 1st, middle sixer, prospect and 4th.
Meier went for a 1st, 2nd and some junk.
Eichel for a 1st, 2nd, top sixer and a prospect.

seems fair to me

Why? Leafs would be overpaying at this point. Lily could be a top 4 defender. Robby looked a lot better this season. I could see him being a 25-30 goal scorer. Prospects as in not minten, knies or Cowan. Not a first round either. Leafs made it clear there not trading a first round pick.

fair, I assumed you'd be interested as your main issue was scoring, which he did very well last year. Thx for the constructive feedback

Never saw that report about not moving their 1st, think you're slightly overvaluing Nick and Lily but you might be right. Without a 1st or a prospect worth about that, idk if the trade is possible. thx for being nice abt it though.

Isles need to get younger, cheaper, and better on offense. Coleman is going to be 33, has 3x$4.9M left on his deal, and he only scored 30 goals this year by nearly doubling his career shooting percentage (9.6% before this year, 15.7% this season). I could only see this deal happening if the Flames took back JG Pageau.

Coleman is a winger though he can play center he's played on the wing for years now. He can play either side, had 30 goals and 54 points this year playing in a shutdown role on the 3rd line. That's more than enough to play in the top 6 for the Islanders, identical production to Palmieri who was the Isles 4th most productive forward. Much better +/- than Palmieri too +19 vs -16. Coleman is gritty and very good defensively too.

Calgary wouldn't dream of trading him for just a pair of mid 2nds.
