Jack Hughes: 22 year old 100 point C with 6 years at 8 mill
Brady Tkachuk: 24 year old 80 point winger with 4 years at 8.2 mill

Not in the same stratosphere as assets

How can we trade Nemec and Mercer to Ottawa when clearly they’ve already been traded to SJS, since we were also told it would be impossible to acquire Meier for anything less than Mercer+Nemec

If Sens trade Brady, they could give 2 ****s about Marino. They’re gonna get worse and they don’t care about John Marino, he’s nothing in this trade. We are gonna only care about 3 years down the line , not about Marino .

So forget about Tkatchuk. Senators won’t just gave him away for literally nothing of high quality. Marino is a fifth defenseman. Holtz is a dedensive liability that haven’t established himself has a offensive weapon and a 10th pick overall doesn’t make up for the value. Realistically Nemec and Mercer is at least the starting point. Like it or not, if you want to entertain Tkatchuk trade talk, there a certain price to pay.

I never asked for Nemec , Mercer and 10th overall .

But the deal will include a top top piece that has top pair RD potential or high top line potential under 23

I literally do not care. Ottawa can ask for whatever they want for Tkachuk, because they're under zero pressure to trade him and don't even want to.
