I used this calculator to estimate the value: https://soundofhockey.com/2022/06/06/examining-the-value-of-nhl-draft-picks/
Obviously it varies with the quality of the players available for each pick. How about if the Sharks offered picks #14, #33, and #42 for #7?

Too bad. The Sharks could really use someone like Marcus Faligno.

My Preferred Offseason Moves
Like these moves overall. Stephenson is a good addition, especially is Couture doesn't come back.
Palat could add veteran leadership. I saw a ACGM post from a NJD fan offerring to trade Palat AND Holtz to the Sharks for a 2nd. I'd take that deal.

You forgot Conor Timmins from the Leafs. Sharks will trade Toronto Thrun and Emberson for him.
Other than that, this was a perfect post. Genius!

Columbus fans whats the move

Agreed, but I think the CBJ fan's point was that they feel about Jiricek the way that we feel about Will Smith: He's their star of the future and he's not available.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>alwaysnextyear</b></div><div>If CBJ were to move him I'd have to think it would be a 1-for-1 swap of a comparable prospect that's ready to crack an NHL roster.</div></div>
He's probably their best prospect. When I proposed a Jiricek to the Sharks trade on ACGM, a CBJ fan said they wanted Will Smith for Jiricek. Sound about right?

Of course this only works if Couture is ever healthy enough to play again. Probably less than 50٪ chance.

Normally I'd say the Sharks shouldn't give up any picks earlier than 4th round, but Holtz is worth it. Sharks should take that deal.

New record for most cap dumps in one post.
I've been focused on free agents but maybe should look at cap dumps again.

An Exciting Team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letsgosharks</b></div><div>Yeah I like your line combos, and ik this won't actually be the outcome, but I actually do think the top 9 will look very similar to that next season, with maybe 2 UFAs instead of a trade made.
I want to shy away from signing an LD just because I want to see Thrun and Mukhamadullin prove themselves. Most likely 1 will and 1 won't, so we can assess that later, but I want to give both the opportunity to so if both flourish we can reap the benefits. I wouldn't be opposed to signing 2 Top 4 RD, I just doubt we do, and I really don't want to commit to too many UFAs long term, and I think we would have to there outside of maybe Dumba. I would be willing to commit to Roy for 4 years Maybe, I don't know about Demelo though.
Maybe run something like
Eklund - Granny - Smith
Gush - Celebrini - Zetterlund
Bords - UFA - UFA or Cap dump (Fabbri from DET) maybe
Ferraro - Roy
Thrun - Dumba
Muk - Emberson</div></div>
No matter what, with Celebrini this is definitely an exciting team!

That was part of the idea. His contact is bad for the Wild but ok for the Sharks who have tons of cap and won't likely contend before his contract expires.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letsgosharks</b></div><div>Thanks! NEEDED it haha</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letsgosharks</b></div><div>I signed dumba for exactly that, leadership and physicality. I agree with your assessment of the third line, but I have no where else to put both of them. Gush has to get his NHL shot, and Bordeleau also should be in the NHL. Would you sign a center and put them both on the wing? or bring one up to the second line in this scenario? I also don't want to sign another top 4 d to get rid of the log jam because I assume it would have to be for longer term. Maybe bring one in through trade that's a short term cap casualty</div></div>
Maybe
Eklund. Granlund. W. Smith
Gush Celebrini. Zetterlund
R. Smith. Bords. Duclair
Or
Eklund. Granlund. Duclair
Bords. Celebrini. R. Smith
Gush. W. Smith. Zetterlund
Or just trade either Gush or Bords. Or don't sign one of Duclair or R. Smith.
There might be some top 4 D FA's available for 1 - 5 year terms. I don't think 5 is too long for a Roy or Demelo. OEL might be good for 1 - 2 years. Like Dumba, OEL had something to prove this year. Unlike Dumba, he proved it.
Read an article about Dumba, and it sounds like he was the Ferraro or Ceci of Minnesota: Fans loved him or hated him, with lots of concern about defensive mistakes.
