marleau and next year rebuild

before u get upset at the Marleau&Phaneuf trade...realize that if u "buy out" Marleau as soon as you trade for him, his contract isnt extended over multiple years as it would be if you bought out Phaneuf. From that point, LAK can either keep him as a vet or buy him out and let him go where he wants to. I chose the later bc it opens up a roster spot for younger players to get experience. TML do this because OTT eats part of the buyout of Phaneuf (assuming they dont keep Phaneuf) and clears cap space for them while not having to give up assets as they would have to in every other trade scenario

Other trades:
DAL adds more depth by getting a 2 time cup winner who can lead their team while providing middle 6 depth at either Center or Wing for only a 3rd rounder

PIT gets a cheap bottom 6 Center/Wing who is very good on PK

CAR needs to get a legit goalie, clearly couldve used someone like quick between the pipes in the playoffs (still a top playoff goalie whether u like it or not)

Habs get an experienced D who can play both sides and a young right handed defenseman (LaDue) who has alot of potential but needs a change of scenery

Kings shed some salary/Vet players to open up cap space for resigning their own young guys and for future FAs and see how this season goes. If it goes horribly, they get another top 5 pick. If the young guys play well, then they know what/who they have going forward
