This is a weird mix of moves. I can see trying to get something for Peca as the Habs would likely lose him on waivers if he's cut, but why move Sklenička to be a minor leaguer for the Oilers?

Pretty sure Winnipeg's not trying to add bodies, so they're not likely to want a grab bag of players for Kyle Connor.

In L.A., you've chosen the one team that probably can't use McCarron. Besides, why would you trade him? The Habs need to extend a qualifying offer (which is greater than what he made last year) to keep his rights. He will sign that. So you're no longer trading rights. Finally, after watching what the Islanders and Hurricanes did with their fourth lines, don't be surprised if McCarron (assuming he's healthy in camp) gets another very long look before any decisions are made.
