Salary Cap Mode: Basic

First off moving Lucic and the 8th for Eriksson and the 10th would clean up a year of unwanted contract from the Oilers book. Plus Lucic would be back at home and be able to help the Canucks grow.
Then move Eriksson to Ottawa with the 10th pick to gain Ryan at 50% with the 19th pick. Ottawa climbs up the draft board and can draft a better player than they wouldve at 19. Ryan can still score goals and is a net front presence, perfect for Draisatl or McDavid. Plus the cost of moving up would be retaining 50% of Ryan's contract (Edm gains 2,375,000 in Cap space)
Unload Sekera and a prospect to NJD. Good leadership guy who can help the team grow and becomes a UFA in 2021.
Trade Manning to MTL for a couple of RFAs to clear that cap space. Resign those RFA's. Both players work in Edmonton.
Finally, You have room to sign Karlsson, but the cap space could be used for Varlamov (2yx6mil) and Nyquist (5x5mil). Again it could not happenwith Karlsson, but it seems like if you throw him a lot of money and say come play with Klefbom, McDavid and Draisatl. That could work (possibly only in fantasies).
