Up front we have kerfoot as a 3rd C and he’s small but shifty like a lot of players on are team. He goes into ghost mode a lot but also shows flashes of skill. He’s very soft which is the complete opposite of what naz was and is the exact thing that kills this team every year. Spezza is a upgrade at 4th C as well but how much of an impact can he truly make at this age? On D Barrie is a big upgrade over gards but he still has constant d mishaps which are very obvious but he does bring more offensive ability in a run and gun style of team we have. Ceci for zaitzev is awful I understand the contract dump but this makes are team worse right now. He’s been awful for years and shows no signs of getting better and people have him rumoured to be on the first line with MO and that can leave him to get exposed very quickly against top talent like in Ottawa. And in net we still don’t have a solid back up so freddy will be counted on way to much and will probably be run into the ground again like he was last year. Honestly I don’t see much improvement and I’m seeing another first round lost to Boston again in our future this year. Oh and let’s not even mention that MM may leave soon as well!
