Description

This is more about lineup lookout than trade speculation.

2019/2020 is another season where habs finish anywhere between 7th-10th.
They move Tatar for a first round pick to a contender at the deadline.
Due to injuries, key young core players will get a chance to demonstrate that they can take a spot on the roster, so some moving parts are also dealt to make room for them. Suzuki is one of those players that I believe may begin the season in AHL, and then take a spot during the season.

2020/2021 Season.
CC is ready for third line rookie year.
KK is ready for first line duties with a well payed Domi on one wing, and a contract year BG.
RP sophmores into second line duties switching back and forth with PD throughout the year.

Romanov excels in his previous season in the KHL so is given a glorified entry level contract with multiple signing bonuses so as to not hurt the cap.
Josh Brook and Tesdale are asterixes for me. Could be on roster or first line minors

Kinkaid impresses the staff as a solid Backup who can play 30 games a year and gets an extension of two years.

Overall....Forwards look interesting. Lots of promise. the defence is still a huge question mark.

With 7.7 mil in cap space, it gives at least some wiggle room for the large amounts of signings required at the end of the season.
