It would seem that those teams with many players on my roster have better value contracts than some of the other teams in the Pacific, which is kind of what I was going for. 22 players / 8 teams means 2 to 4 per team if I was looking for balance, but I was finding value instead. I find it funny you are complaining that I left off Oilers players when their team has made the playoffs once in the past 10 years and twice in the past 15. I essentially put together three top lines instead of overspending on some of the high end guys.
What do you suggest I change?
The Oilers have very few players that are any good (McDavid, Drasaitl, RHN, Nurse, Klefbom) and most of those guys are not likely to outperform outperform their deal (except Nurse, who's an RFA after this season). Maybe switch Klefbom with Hanifin?
LA is a collection of junk. I looked at Campbell as the backup, but he's a UFA at the end of the year. Doughty and Kopitar are too expensive to fit without sacrificing depth.
For Arizona I would maybe swap Chychrun with Hanifin. Keller < Pettersson, so who else is any good?
I suppose I could have a few less Flames, but I like Hanifin's upside on the 5 remaining years of his deal plus he's played RD in the NHL, and I think Jankowski is a great PK guy given his reach and SHG scoring last year.
