Moving Sorenson up to the top 6 could be a major surprise, he’s my personal dark horse candidate this year. This leaves the Chwins to work with Thornton allowing him to mentor them for a year before they become the future of the team. Trading away Karlsson and Dell leaves Doug around 5 mil in cap space to make a trade deadline move as he does every year, or if the Sorenson thing doesn’t work out we can put together a package deal for a legit top 6 forward. If Merkley makes it out of camp, he would take Heeds spot, allowing Vlasic to mentor him and balance out his overwhelmingly offensive style, and I’m assuming that Korenar beats out Dell for the backup role, so we either trade him or buy out his contract, letting Korenar grow into a solid young backup
