Description
No real changes Try and trade Wideman at some point in the season, protected players would be, monahan, Gaudreau, Bennett, Backlund, Frolik, Brouwer, and last spot up for grabs. D is gio, brodie and dougie. Again I think net is a crab shoot if elliot does well it would be him.

This looks right except - Ferland is NOT a top 6 forward and playing a rookie LW (Tkachuk) and 1 year (Bennett) with Ferland is doing both players a disservice... We need to develop both these young players... The best way to do this is to play them with a veteran RW'r with skill.... Brouwer will be playing with Johnny and Mony so that leaves Frolik... IMO Frolik should play with Backs as they play so well together but as he is the only option... Unless we can move Wides then sign... lets say Huds!!!! Huds plays so well with young players (just look at his track record with Mony and Johnny) plus he would benefit from playing with 2 aggressive forwards that both like to drive the net!

Agree with above comment. It's a small tweak to what you're showing, but there's just no way CGY is ready to roll a 2nd line (or even 3rd line) of Bennett between Tkachuk and Ferland.

I think best option to insulate Bennett is to give him Frolik on the right. Backlund is a possession beast on his own, so he can handle Ferland + Chiasson on his wings and still be very effective in his shutdown matchup role.

Will be interesting to see how Tkachuk shows up to camp after the summer. Would be great to have a 3rd draft pick going straight into the lineup (Monahan, Bennett, _______) right away, but I wouldn't be totally upset with giving him 9 games and another year of junior. Hudler is an interesting option (excellent 5v5 point production), Versteeg, Gagner, etc. All capable depth producers that have experience and decent underlying stats. Hudler/Bennett/Frolik would be very interesting to watch.

Yea I never think are lines are set in stone frolik and brouwer will jump from line 1 2 and 3 I still think we are one winger short but I see no good options to pick up this year.
