David Backes isnt getting paid 6 mill a year to be a 3rd line center, you have Ryan Spoo... oh wait you traded him for absolute garbage. Spooner would bring back a 1st round pick if Sweeney was dumb enough to trade him. Vesey is primarily a left wing, and Vatrano can be put on the right side. but if Vesey comes here hes playing on the second line, left side, and Beleskey plays 3rd line. Lindholm would be nice but he wont get moved, Fowler is the guy getting moved.

Are you a fan of the anaheim ducks ? No way does Sweeney give up that many picks for Lindholm

Spooner could fetch us a 2nd and Hayes is expected to ante up for this coming season and is not on the trade block

Agree with Spooner and Vesey comments. I'm a fan of young, big, left shot D men who can play top 2 minutes which we don't have in our system. I would send two first, 2nd, and 3rd for Lindholm everyday of the week along with trading the trades to get the picks. The odds of getting a top pairing D with all those picks are way under 100%. If i were the ducks, I would want to trade Fowler too and i agree that is the better and more likely move for them, but Id rather over pay for Lindholm, more control. Thanks for the comments.
