Why trade Georgiev? What is the purpose? He is 24 years old and along with Shesterkin gives the Rangers the best young tandem of goalies in the NHL. Hank is done after this season. You want to give up a 24 year old stud goalie for a few draft picks? That is beyond foolish.

Hallelujah. Baffling, but I think I'm the only NYR fan that sees the writing on the wall, along with you, Hank and perhaps a few others. The more I think about it, Hank RETIRES. A: doesn't lose a cent as ambassador/scout/coach with same money while helping his team. B: wants to finish as a NYR. C: contenders already have a goalie, unless of course a long term injury. D: pride won't let him be a backup, just to chase a sympathy cup. E: A buyout doesn't suit him well, where's he going to go? Would just leave a bad taste in his mouth. Georgiev trades have to stop...
