If I am the Oilers I don’t even consider including Lavoie in a trade for a player turning 30 and going to be a UFA in a year.

If Edmonton had a 3rd or 4th I would have thrown that in and probably thrown in one of Jacob Olofsson or Jordan Struble so it would be a higher prospect for a lower prospect and a roster player but I couldn't figure out all the little stuff to make it not feel like an overpayment.

As a Habs fan who has read a few things here and there about Lavoie off-ice and his overall attitude and weirdness, I wouldn't even look at him for anything. Not even on waivers to be honest.
There has always been over the years some players who are "cancers in the dressing room". Mark my words: Lavoie has all the makings of a disliked players on teams.
Lavoie on waivers? Montreal passes. No kidding. Sorry if it sounds harsh on the young man.
