Habs are in position to make one significant move. Good chance he doesn’t but he could also be playing hardball waiting for asking prices to come down which is incredibly smart on his behalf. Realistically there is very few teams with both cap space and the funds and draft capital to play with.

What do people really expect MB to say on the radio or in the paper?

What fans “want” him to say would hurt his leverage in any deal.

MB is saying all the right things. Doesn’t mean he won’t do anything.

He also said publicly that he's ready to deal his first pick, a roster player and a prospect for a big addition. So take some, leave some... GMs have a job to do and good ones don't discuss their plans with the media...
