1st line:Mcdavid and puljujarvi have great chemistry they need one more guy that has the right grit and speed and can score that’s why they need to back the brinks truck up to landeskog
2nd line: draisaitl needs more help on his wing someone that can score and is responsible defensively that’s why Coleman should be there target, Yamamoto had a down season but the work effort is there so I keep him on that line that makes for a solid line.
Now where you win and lose playoff series your 3rd and 4th lines if you can’t trust them and play them even minutes you’ll never win
3rd line : is your speed and defensively responsible line while still being able to score goodrow brings that speed, aggressive and scoring. pair him with archibald which brings speed and is aggressive and can also kill penalties then give them a veteran C in foligno who brings skill and is aggressive.
4th line: your grind line your line that causes trouble and wears down the other team dman you bring size speed and aggressive with a veteran touch with jujhar, getzlaf and kassian.

Your D
1st pair: nurse made big strides this year becoming a top pair dman that can score and defend well pair him with bear who has the talent to score make a good outlet pass and score.
2nd pair: has to be your shutdown pair the pair other teams forwards hate going against the pair that will grind and beat you down in oleksiak and Larsson.
3rd pair: if Klefbom is healthy you give him lighter easier minutes for most of the year but he is solid defensively and can score and now is the time to let Bouchard show what he can do he can pass and score and is a big body pairing him with Klefbom gives him that veteran that can help him out.

Goaltending
1A:
Mrazek has had 2 great season in Carolina and would be an upgrade on koskinen and smith was top 13 in both goals against and save percentage he just ran into some injuries.
1B : Smith you bring him back for one year he played great for the whole regular season and most of the 1st series he’ll have a fire lit under him and something to prove again as well he brings leadership to this group and a swagger that the team needs.
