This is a pretty whack idea, please blast me in the comments.
It's my attempt to weaponize the exposure spot to the largest of it's extent.
Seattle knows Tampa is in a really bad spot with expansion. They would have to add to ensure they lose Johnson and not someone like Cal Foote.
The Canucks on the other hand really only have spare parts to offer Seattle. Maybe they can expose Johnson and give up less to have them take him?
I also tried to give Ron Francis more of a headache by getting rid of Highmore, Motte, and Lind (to further incentivize him to take TJ).
Columbus needs to expose someone and it makes the pickings from the Canucks worse for Seattle. Maybe they make it out with either Motte, Lind, or both by exposing a better d-man, like Kukan. Maybe Buffalo is a better spot for this.
Could be total BS, but it's fun to try.
F: JTx2 Pete Boes Bo Pearson Yanni
D: What defence?
G: Bubble Demko
Exposed: Bowey, TJ, Holtby, Myers, MacEwan, Gadjovich, The Cap Dumps [tm]
Roussel on the turd line is a huge L but I tried not to cheat by moving him Beagle, or Eriksson for peanuts. I send Eriksson packing for my own sake. That defense is total garbage but I think that's what it will end up like next season regardless. Yanni Gourde is really, really, really good.
Summary:
Additions
Nosek, Gourde, Podkolzin, Lockwood, Hakanpaa
Subtractions
Motte, Highmore, Lind
8 picks to start, 2 picks added, 3 picks lost = 7 remain in the draft
Huh? So you're protecting Point, Stammer, Kuch, Cirelli, Serg, Hedman, Foote, Cernak, and Vasi? So Seattle takes Gourde, Killorn, or Palat for free?
Obviously, you have to lose someone at the end of the day, but I feel like Gourde is on his own at the top of the list. Losing Killorn or Palat for free would hurt less I feel.
I thought Tampa would be happy dumping Johnson for much cheaper than they would if they wanted Seattle to take him.
Sorry, I'm not confident in what I did here, but I'm just wondering if you can elaborate on your reasoning.

1why does Gourde waive Full NTC To Vancouver?2 no Yanni Gourde is pure energy brings guys into the play weather they want to or not. He is a big reason Cooper starts that line every period. Let Seattle make there pick deal with losing 1 good player
