This doesn't make sense for the leafs they just resign dermont a couple of days ago with the intend of him being on the team and the leafs are probably gonna resign david rittich

Leafs dont need an unproven backup goalie to backup the unproven starter. They need an insurance plan for Campbell. Pittsburgh is in the same situation with Jarry, there is a reason they are moving Desmith for a more reliable backup
