Interesting, but unfortunately too ambitious cap-wise. A David Savard signing around 3M/year seems to be a good move as a stop-gap on RD. Parting with Byron for cap relief would indeed be optimal to afford the luxury of keeping both Armia and Lekhonen (where’s the later in this case!?). But the Habs cannot realistically afford both Landeskog and Jones with the later’s and Suzuki’s contract renewals next summer. Unless you can also give a fresh start to Drouin elsewhere without taking back salary maybe?
