Description

Devils do the Gusev-move with Subban. They terminate his contract right before the TDL because nobody can afford his caphit (and nobody is willing to pay a third party to retain further salary) and he has basically made all his money through bonuses anyway. This opens up a spot for Reilly Walsh to see wether he can take over Subban's spot next season or wether GMTF has to go out and acquire a RHD.

Furthermore, they finally cut the tires with Pavel Zacha.

i think the habs will pay more for zacha. they payed a fortune for dvorak who isn't as good.

maybe. i'm still not convinced the habs are going full rebuild after committing about $200m in the last year or so. could be a retool, in which case zacha would be perfect
