Wild need a 2C and depth to our D. Benn has really been exposed lately and he can't be trusted on if somebody falls due to injury. Gaudreau, on the other hand, is fine defensively but lacks the offensive upside to play with Fiala and Boldy. I know Evason likes Gaudreau but this is what I would do.

Also, I picked McCann instead of other big names on the C market since those would be WAY more expensive. Wild will have an additional 2nd round pick from the NHL since we won't sign Filip Johansson. I think that's why we should absolutely use a 2nd round pick as currency.

Addison, Rossi, McBain and Benn serve as Black Aces during playoffs.

Michael Russo reported recently that the Wild have about 11 million in cap space for the deadline. CapFriendly shows that we would be over the cap here, but I only added 7,5 million so we should be good.
