The truth is, the sharks actually don’t hold control here.
If Hertl doesn’t resign, he has a 3 team trade list. SJS can demand a 1st, but ultimately if the 3 teams don’t bite, you are forced to take what you can get or risk losing him to UFA for nothing. SJS don’t hold the cards here
