Description

Yzerman will probably stay the course on the slow rebuild, waiting one more year for prospects to get pro experience. Other than retaining a couple of their own free agents, I expect Yzerman will upgrade the forward position with a hometown kid in Andrew Copp, as well as the backup 1B goalie. IMO Berggren, Edvinsson, Soderblom, and Tuomisto will play in the AHL for the Griffins in the 2022-23 season.

For the 2022 Draft, I expect many picks will address the depth for the forward group, especially the 1st round pick. Hopefully the lottery "luck" will change for the better, and they will move up to the top of the draft.
